..and his name is D-Mo haha :) It's good that you didn't put Jones in the title because on any given night it can be either one of the 4 we have.

I like the rotation the way it is right now. Smith start, Dmo and Tjones both get playing time and whoever is playing the best get the most time.

I still think Dmo will win the starting spot next year sometime but for now it keeps everybody playing hard for minutes.

Unless DMo adds muscle mass and learns how to be tough in the paint, he won't be starting next year and that's for sure. Smith seems to be able to start, but unless he works on his fouling, he'll be in foul trouble every game and you can't have a starter in consistent foul trouble. Right now, I think Terrence Jones is the best option and Thomas Robinson has shown flashes of greatness. If we still have these 4 come next season, I want to have TJ starting, Smith, D-mo, TRob backing him up.
Obviously, we will not have all 4 of these guys come September. Whenever a team has 3 guys who all have legitimate shots at starting in the NBA (and Thomas Robinson), someone is going to get traded. It's a bad business idea to have 4 guys on a 12 man roster be, virtually, the same in terms of production (and Thomas Robinson).
By the way, I want to keep Thomas Robinson, because he is a player that COULD develop into a really nice talent, but I'm not sure TRob could really be valuable in the market this offseason. So it's better to work on him for a season or two, show him the ways of Clutch City, and develop him into a valuable asset, or he could become good as hell, and we'll have a starting PF lol.

Btw on this current roster, Patterson is only better than Robinson. I take Jones, DMo, or Smith over Patterson any day of the weak. Robinson maybe not, but Robinson could still become a valuable player, whereas Patterson is a mediocre player that some team (my guess is Phoenix) will pay him a $H1T ton of cash, and I'm glad we traded him for something that could still end up with a positive situation.

I agree that T-Rob is the guy we have to develop moving forward, no doubt. You don't see a 4 with that kind of speed and agility on D everyday. This is the kind of project teams should take a chance on and be patient with, like Andrew Bynum for example.

But I disagree that he doesn't have value, in fact he might be one of the central piece along with Parsons that teams will ask for to get that next star, should we go after one.

He may not have shot well but he did everything else. He rebounded in traffic, rotated well on defense and kept the balk moving while taking high percentage shots.

Future or not, I hope we can retain him. He has solid potential. Knows how to roll, great hands, and best of all.. HE CAN FINISH AROUND THE RIM!!! He just needs to work on his footwork on defense as he tends to bump into the offensive player too much, which of course causes fouls

You should pay closer attention to the game. Dmo was missing his outside shots but besides that he had a nice game.

I don't know if its dmo's choice, the coach's choice, or just the system's requirement, but DMO should be closer to the rim on offense and not behind the 3 point line. I understand that the backcourt centered team wants to drive and space the floor, but cmon, dmo has some sick moves that are not being utilized; instead, he's spotting up for the 3 ball..

He did have a fair share of post moves tonight, and shooting poorly, he need to do both in this system.

Lol. That's the truth. All of our PFs are inconsistent. You don't know what you gonna get from them.

I never thought Robinson was that talented. I always like to ask, what are his special traits? I don't have a problem with height, but at that height, you better be very explosive or have tree vines for arms. Elton Brand in his prime is a classic example. Jones has special traits. He's a great athlete in terms of lift, explosion, speed and agility. He also has a handle like a guard which means he can get where he wants on the floor. Just as OMR stated, no one on this roster could do what jones did the other night. He got the rebound in traffic and with very little bend, went back up minus head fakes and dunked it. The rockets haven't had a frontcourt player capable of that since carl landry. I've watched Jones enough to know at times, th will frustrate fans. He just needs to play with a more consistent effort and his talent will come out.
