I don't get it, why don't some of you want Sammy? Houston needed to improve in rebounding and protecting the paint, he offers all those things. I'm thinking most of you who don't want Sam, prefer to have a scoring center, but why? We already have guys who can score the ball easily, Bring in Dalembert Morey Now!!!!

Look, the Rockets at this point are only going to look at one year signings, value contracts, or trading for a center with a shorter contract to pick up.

However, they are in desperate need of front court help, and Morey does not want to start off this coach/front office relationship with Mchale giving him nothing but Thabeet and Hill at the Center position. McHale has expressed the need for size, and Im sure there is pressure in the front office to get some Center depth.

If NO still thinks Kaman to be part of the CP3 trade, look for him to stay off the block with other teams unless Houston can somehow be part of a three team NO/LAC/ Houston three team deal that sends parts to NO instead of Kaman. Just remember that players sent to NO would have to be contributing players since NO has to put a somewhat competitive product on the floor this year.

More than likely look for Houston to trade for Al Jefferson. A package centered around Kevin Martin for Jefferson would be very do-able for both sides. Unless Sammy D. is more than willing to take a large one year deal, with an optional second season. Seems like the most logical contract the Rockets will offer.

If he did offer all these things, he'd have signed a 4yr/$60 mil deal like Tyson Chandler already with someone. If he did those things, the Kings wouldn't have offered Chuck Hayes $20 million.

For a contending team, Dalembert's best position is to play 20-25 minutes at center, whether starting as part of a 2-headed monster or as a backup. That has value, for sure. If the Rockets are over the cap I wouldn't mind giving him the MLE. But is he worth a large chunk of capspace to keep this team where it was before Hayes left? Not so certain.

if morey really wants to build this team through the draft, then there's no way they'll sign dalembert. our frontcourt is going to be even weaker defensively than it was last year, but at least they'll get to hope and pray that the ping pong ball gods go their way again and they get another #1 pick that will lead them to sustained glory and success like the last one did!

I'd give him a large one year deal like the Warriors gave Kwame. Otherwise, forget it.

Nope. Lets tank it. Dalembert is a waste of money unless its for one year. Get him on the cheap if nobody scoops him up or a one year deal.

Because he's just not that good. We'd be wasting money and losing flexibility.

Tanking is the better option. 2012 draft is absolutely stacked.
