Get Kaman, Morey needs to find a way to get him in a trade. The Clippers want to free up some money after matching Jordan. Maybe he can get in on the Paul trade again and somehow net Kaman. I believe he might only have a 1 year deal, if he works out then resign him or extend him. Although, he has been injury prone lately if he can prove he is healthy this year he may be worth it.

Why are people so fixed on winning games?
Who gives a **** how many games we win. We won't last one series in the playoffs.

    Rebuild/Retool/Tank.
Don't just trade away everything we have for some old-ass veteran that'll carry us to a 41-41 record.

How many people thought the Grizzlies would even make the playoffs, let along lasting one series in it?

Sammy D is not the greatest center out there, but he rebounds at a very high rate and defends the paint. This team, and pretty much any team in the league, can use a guys like him, as long as the $ issue can be sorted out.

This is why i was so encouraged. The Rockets could achieve that type of play.

Whoaaa, slow it down there... You cant compare that Grizz team to the current Rockets. They had a lot of things that we dont, such as a lock down perimeter defender or two (Battier and Tony Allen, who is possibly one of the best on the ball wing defenders in the league), and two big guys at the 4 and 5 position that dominated in the playoffs (Randolph couldnt be stopped on the low block and Gasol was a force at 15 and 11).

We have one good defender in Lee and zero post defenders or anyone with any height at all. And please dont say Thabeet, he doesnt count until he can earn significant minutes from the coaches.

On another note, its easy for everyone to clamor Thabeet to get minutes to "develop" but just remember that the coaches see these guys nearly every day in practice and thats when you start earning playing time. When it comes down to it, its up to the players and player development coaches to develop these guys in practice and up to the coach to start whoever he believes will give him the best chance to win.

Yeah and they had Rudy Gay for most of the season too. Pretty deep team. Tall.

It wont hurt to sign him for 2 years. He could help our bigs a little as well. We try to make a run of it with our guys now. I would also fully support not signing him and trading Scola and Martin and whoever else to try to get us the best picks possible and start the rebuilding in earnest.

As good as Memphis was in the playoffs, they were absolutely terrible against the Rockets.

No on Dalembert, I'd rather play Thabeet over him.

I think Dalembert will be more than OK as a stop-gap measure. Sooner or later, Morey will find us a gem center in the draft.
