Your bitter sniping makes you look small. I'm rooting for Tech, you should consider returning the favor.
I know we can all be right in hindsight, but I was going to post Friday that this is a classic trap game.
UTEP watched game tape and saw Tech run all over us. Pretty simple. Jim Jeffcoat is going to increase the beatings until morale improves.
Vittatoe had a rare efficient, mistake free game. All the credit goes to Mike Price for this one. Flawless execution of a gameplan if I've ever seen one.
You seem to forget that the last two seasons Vittatoe has been a stud. Nobody is quite sure what's wrong with him this season, but his numbers from last night (especially his second half stats...one incomplete pass) are more in line with his career numbers than anything else this season. But it was awesome to see Price stick with the run when it was working and not abandon it for the passing game that he loves so much. If he had done this against Buffalo we would be 3-2 right now, and possibly not as embarrassed against the Horns. Oh, and to the guy who said that this was our Super Bowl...get real. We play y'all tight every year. We should have beat you last year if our defense hadn't **** the bed in the fourth quarter. UTEP-Houston is turning into a heck of a rivalry in both football and hoops, but this certainly wasn't our Super Bowl. That was last week and we played the part of the Buffalo Bills ;-) ).
You could get a feel that was coming as the first quarter wound down. A shame. It seems football teams in this city like to get folks real excited...and then promptly shoot them down.
It's a matter of positioning that you deem class. A&M is beyond a bad football team, so they appear "classy" because they don't have anything to say anyways. UT and even Texas Tech have had good teams. Houston has a good team. With groups of good teams in the same state, on a forum for a Houston team, with a mix of all different fans of CFB creates tension, but nothing I see out of the ordinary. I see your post just as classless then. Just seems odd to me, as a Texas student who obviously cheers for UT but loves what UH was doing, to be called a "snooty, arrogant tea-sipper." I hate tea.
Lots of games to go. One thing is for sure, if you had told me in July that we'd be 3-1 with wins over OSU and Tech by now, I'd be plenty happy.
Complete BS that UH fell out of the top 25 because of this lost. I dont think it hurt Case's chances for the HT
How is it BS? Do you have any idea how bad UTEP is? UH doesn't deserve to be ranked the rest of this season after that disgraceful performance yesterday. Their next game @ Miss St. looks like another loss. Keenum has ZERO chance at a Heisman trophy.
Washington isn't that good either and USC only dropped 9 spots when they lost. I believe Washington went winless last year...atleast UTEP 2 of their 3 losses were to rank opponents and if you compare UH wins this year to USC it's pretty even....I say we should atleast be 25 or something and as for Case I think he still has a chance at the heisman...he still threw 5 td passes
methinks USC has just a lil' bit less to prove than UH. I knew they would drop out of rankings; and they should have. sooooo very disappointed. How do you beat OSU in their place, beat TTech, then lose to freaking UTEP?? bummer.
i'm trying to find a good analogy for this, and i just can't. to win those 2 games in that fashion....and then lose this one??? wow.
really? it's just not that stunning to me. Similar thing happened to UT last year. It's easy to get up for the big games. Sometimes its hard to get up for the ones you should win. JVG had a saying about road trips and the first game back
