Ii think you can pretty much pencil in that they will get their balls stomped in Indy so 4-3 heading to the SD game. There's a real good chance that, at best, they go 2-3 in the 5 games against Jets (ill be there rooting on my Jets...sorry!), Ravens, Philly and the 2 Titans games (assuming a split)...thats 6-6 They are gonna need to win all 4 of the 2 Jax, Den and SD games to have a shot to make the playoffs imo.......the Ravens game will be huge in case it comes down to a head to head if Balt doesnt win that division...as will the Jets game for the same reason
The Jets lost Jenkins (again) for the season in week one, Revis has been a shell of himself while playing on a bad hammy and Calvin Pace has been out the same amount of time as Cushing....and somehow, they are making plays. I think a lot of it is on the players...but the coaches have to have some accountability as well Having said all this......the Texans are in 1st place after week 6....
Why are people already calling for a loss vs Indy? Indy's defense isn't as bad as ours but gave up 24 points to a below average Redskin team and got run all over by Jax and the Texans. It will be a shootout but if Foster/Ward can run effectivly then it will be a close game although high scoring.
I think we matchup well with the Colts...another finesse team. It's teams like the Ravens that are too much for us...teams that bully us up front on the lines. We can conceivably outscore the Colts.
The problem is . .. IMO . .the COLTS are not the competition this year. The winner of tonites game IS! Jags are unbeaten in the division [beat the colts] If they win tonite they are 4-2 and 2-0 in the division and 3-1 in conference. [will 2-0 in division while being 3-1 in conference make them leaders over the 1-0 in division and 3-0 in conference Texans?] Jags are quietly making me nervous. Rocket River
If I had to rank the teams in the AFC South right now it would be the Titans 1st, Colts 2nd, Texans 3rd, and Jags 4th. Titans defense is back. Colts are not the same team they were last year and shouldn't scare anyone. I still think the Jags suck real bad. Defense is terrible, almost at the Texans level. David Garrard is average at best. Maurice Jones-Drew is a top 10 back but he is the only offensive playmaker they have.
I understand but . . . like we complain about here They *are* winning. Jags and Texans are winning .. in sometimes inexplicable ways Rocket River
Colts look flat out shaky. There is literally nothing to that team outside of Manning and his receivers. Which speaks to how legendary Peyton is. One bit of upside: we only have 3 high-gaining passers left to face (Peyton, Rivers, Orton). Garrard, Vince (both twice), and Sanchez are all passing for less than 200 yards a game. Gives us a fighting chance - we've got better odds outscoring running teams, but we've got to improve. Otherwise it'll be deja vu from the Vince and Chris show last year (MNF).
All true, but... the Colts are the Texan's next opponents, so worrying about the Jags, t***, or anyone else is pointless (or if not pointless, at least ill-timed). Texans have to focus on beating IND, which puts them two games ahead of IND.
LOL, I'm not ready to say that just yet. Week 1 not withstanding. Remember, we've never won at Indy in our entire franchise history.
While I understand your motivation, calling the Titans "t***" is so wrong. How dare you demean the female breasts to such a degree.
truth. I still have not figured what the Jags are doing right. Atleast you can say the Texans can out score people
