Disagree about the straight line only speed. Fuller has incredible acceleration out of cuts which can really create separation. Problem is that he is a body catcher whoch results in a lot of drops in shorter underneath routes.
Heyward-Bey was not productive in college, only catching a total 13 TDs in three years. Fuller put up great numbers with a variety of QB's against solid competition. I think Fuller is a better prospect than TY Hilton. Would you take that on this team? I would.
Oh for sure, if he becomes anywhere near the WR TY Hilton is then we'll all be thrilled. Not many expect him to be that good though.
Alright we got it. You don't like the pick very much. Billings is on the board.. Maybe move up for him
Will Fuller, Notre Dame Playmaker Rating: 94.5% Will Fuller may have made headlines for his blazing 4.32-second 40-yard dash, but Playmaker Score is more interested in his strong receiving numbers in the relatively low-volume Notre Dame passing offense. Fuller scored 29 receiving touchdowns in his last two seasons at Notre Dame and recorded an impressive 17.4 yards per catch. Scouts may be concerned that Fuller has a relatively slight build, but size is highly overrated at the wide receiver position. Great wide receivers have come in all shapes and sizes; what matters is production. Josh Doctson, TCU Playmaker Rating: 70.8% Doctson's numbers are similar to Will Fuller's. However, there is one important difference between the two prospects: Fuller posted his numbers as a junior and enters the draft as an underclassman, while Doctson enters the draft as a senior. Senior wide receivers fail at a much greater rate than their junior counterparts. The four least productive wide receivers drafted in the first round from 1996-2013 were all seniors (A.J. Jenkins, Rashaun Woods, R. Jay Soward, and Marcus Nash), even though most of the first-round picks over this time period were underclassmen. Absolutely thrilled with Fuller pick.
There's six D Lineman with 1st rd grades on Day 2. This draft is deep & I hope one is there at 2.52. This could push 2nd rd grade D Lineman like Kaufusi, Nassib, C Jones, etc too Rd 3 There's about 30 guys I'd be happy landing on Day 2
Reed, Dodd, Robinsom, Ragland, Spence, Billings, Whitehair could have all gone in the 1st. Not sure if any of them make it to #52 but wouldn't mind trading up for any of these guys. Not an immediate need but Ragland would be a great replacement for Cushing down the line.
There is so much depth in the 2nd. I'm so hopeful. Ashawn Robinson, Jarran Reed, Andrew Billings, Chris Jones for defensive linemen Cody Whitehair, Nick Martin for interior offensive linemen LaRaven Clark, Shon Coleman for OT
One or more of the above will certainly be available. The Texans should be able to find a long term OL/DL starter.
