Julio had a LOT more going for him than just speed.

Coaching can fix that speed is something else.

Yes you absolutely do when you are drafting at the end of the first round. Texans have star players, now they are trying to build a team around those players.

If Fuller does what they expect him to do, strike some fear into the secondary and open up some space across the field then it will make the team better. He doesn't have to catch every thing thrown his way, he just has to be a threat.

I get why people wanted other WRs, but this team desperately needed some explosiveness to their offense.

Even if a player drops a few, the deep threat should free up Hopkins a little and open the run game more.

Will he return kicks?..... If so, will he catch them consistently?

    "Nix is a GREAT move"

Seeing ashawn Robinson and jarran reed on the board still is so tempting. I would strongly consider moving up to get one of those guys and solving the defensive line at last

Except Heyward-Bey had the same number of touchdowns in his career as Fuller did last year.

Everyone is talking about drops and forgetting Fuller scored 29 TDs in his last two years.

Heh, I would have gone Doctson over Fuller, but then again a few years ago I wanted to go Patterson over Hopkins.

It just seems to me that Fuller was selected to fit one specific role on the team. That said good luck and let's go.

But he had prototypical WR size with amazing speed and strength. You overlook the one thing when it is made up for in other areas. Also he had 9 5/8 inch hands, when guys have big hands, you worry less about them when it comes to drops than you do when you are talking about people with under 9 inch hands.

With Fuller, he has smaller hands, he is a lot smaller, he's not anywhere near as strong, he's nowhere near as explosive. I mean, he's really just a fast straight line guy. Hopefully he ends up being more than that.

He may drop some balls but he absolutely killed it stat wise in college and he can take the top off the defense like no one else on the roster. You want a sure fire reception, throw it to Hop, you want a 62 yd over the top TD, toss it to Will. In the highlights I saw he can catch the deep ball but struggled in the intermediary routes.

I'm not the biggest fan of Fuller, but this post exactly sums up why they drafted him.
