If the Texans somehow end up with Derek Carr, I will disown the franchise. That would be a nightmare.

Since he didnt help us last season, he can help us by have a 10+ sack season.

Am I the only one who doesn't see a quality draft? I mean they took Hopkins which was the right direction but everything else was a head scratcher. Hopkins is going to be a soso WR other than that we did not take a reach or draft a game breaker. I was hoping we would take a another WR like Patton or maybe a speed guy later in the draft. What does everyone think of the overall draft.

Why would you think Hopkins is soso? He was probably the most NFL ready WR in the draft.

Swearinger is going to be a stud...he just needs to learn to play by NFL rules so he doesnt get flagged for unnecessary roughness.

Im pretty hopeful that out of the two OTs, one of them will pan out.

Im also confident that out of the two DE/OLB, one of them will be solid.

That gives us 4 good players while we wait and see what happens with Bonner, Jones, and Griffin.

Is it an A+ draft, no...but there really werent many picks where I was disappointed that we took one player over another. I wish we drafted Jesse Williams at DT with on of the later picks, but it is what it is.

I would give somewhere around the B+ range.

I think we got some solid players this draft. I really like the guys we got rounds 1-4, except for the OT we took in the third round. Don't think he's athletic enough in pass blocking.

The four players drafted in the sixth round, I think will probably not make this team. As to be expected when you have a good team like the texans. Although, the NFL network gave high praise to the 6th round OT Quessenberry and had him rated as a 3rd rounder, which is nice. Hopefully, he will turn out to be a steal.

Hopkins is going to be a so so receiver? Really? Hopkins is a fantastic WR prospect. And how was Swearinger a head scratcher? He will pretty much be a starter because of how much the Texans are in nickel and is the heir apparent to Reed. How were Brennan Williams or Quessenberry head scratchers? They provide quality Oline depth and can possibly develop into starters this year? How are Montgomery and Williams head scratchers? They were both very good pass rushers in college and getting to the qb is the number one priority for any team in the NFL. Just yikes that you really said some of that.

Hopkins will be a younger version of our last #2 Walter. He ran a 4.57 most TE do that. We have deep threat. Andre is in his 30's and you act like drafted a young Moss.

Bolden ran a 4.71 40 so Hopkins should be a much better than him if we're just looking at the 40.

Wow.........Hopkins compared to Kevin Walter? Really? WTF are you talking about? Have you even watched Hopkins play over the past three years? The guy had over 1400 yards receiving last year with 18 touchdowns and torched a great LSU defense in Clemson's bowl game. He has huge hands, long arms, and is a fantastic route runner. He also has a 36 inch vertical and a 1.55 ten yard split which is really impressive. Please watch and study up on guys before making yourself look like a complete *****ing fool.

The only 6th rounder I have a question about is the WR.

Quessenberry is a good prospect and probably the most versatile player on the OLine as he can play either tackle or guard spot. But Nick Mondek was a 6th rounder last year and spent the season on the practice squad.

Chris Jones will probably make the roster if only because we're thin at NT. We seem committed to Mitchell at NT and it won't take much to be his backup.

Ryan Griffin will at least compete with Supernaw for the 3rd TE spot. Again, we're thin at the position and it's not like there's a lot of competition for the 3rd spot.

The offensive line battle in camp will be interesting. Teams usually carry 3 or 4 reserves plus the starters. After the draft, we currently have 12. 2 Centers, 4 Guards, and 6 Tackles.

Hopkins is an exceptional route runner...just bc he ran a slower 40 doesnt mean he doesnt play fast on the field.

Quessenberry can play 4 spots on the OL, either OT or OG.

I think most have 7 OL active on gamedays. Right now it would probably be
    LT - Brown
    LG - Wade
    C - Myers
    RG - Brooks
    RT - Williams
    C/G - Jones
    G/T - Quessenberry

Mondek, Harris, and Newton are going to be fighting for the last OT spot on the roster.

I like the looks of this! It is inevitable that at least one guy may struggle with injuries this season. They look better prepared to handle it this year than last.

Our RT/RG issues last year really hindered our offense more than people think.

It affected our running game, which in turn affected our passing game.

Swope ran a sub 4.4. Who will have better receiving numbers next season: Swope or Hopkins?

Swope may never play a snap of football because of his multiple concussions.

If he hadn't I think there is a chance that Swope would have been drafted within the first three rounds.

JJ Watt, was a head scratcher. I have full confidence in Rick Smith and so i have faith in every pickup we got.
