Starting in the 5th, if the guy simply sticks and contributes on the field, you've got value. We're in the bonus rounds.

Before the draft, I had heard enough about him that I figured he wouldnt be there at the end of the 6th round.

Nothing wrong with spending a late 5th on arguably the best kicker in the country, specially when there is no kicker on the roster.

    I'll happily take it.

Ha! Yeah the more I think about it, the more I like it. I'm sure he will do well. You're right, anyone who contributes from here on out is a win.

Horrible draft. Too many Big 10 players.

Yeah, people focus too much about the ROUND of the pick and not about the overall number of the selection.

Had Bullock been taken a few picks later, at the front end of the sixth round, people wouldn't have as much of a problem with the pick.

Makes no sense to me. Bullock seems like a solid pick at #161 overall.

I know the Bullocks. Randy and his brother are good people. And when they lost their dad, they showed a lot of resolve and maturity at such a young age. Very happy for Randy.

I would...but if you have postseason aspirations, do you really want your backups to be two late round picks, a rookie and a 2nd year guy? I have to think they will opt for another cheap seasoned vet, either a new Leinart/Orlovsky/Sage type or a Delhomme/Garcia type.

Skins released Beck, so there's a Shanahan type. Sex Cannon will be cut soon enough.

There will always be SOMEONE kicking a can with every pick. But, I feel this draft has been the most happy go lucky on the BBS...ever?

Obviously, you didn't see the contract that Orlovsky got. Dude went from the starter on an 0-16 team to being one of the highest paid backups in the league.

Cheap backup? Yes. Orlovsky money? No, thank you.

I was just referring to the type of player - youngish marginal starter that lost his job. For sure, anyone we sign is getting next to nothing.

Rams recently drafted a kicker too. Good thing we scooped up Bullock when we did then.

Looks just like a fantasy draft, once the second kicker is drafted everyone starts freaking out and grabs kickers. They must have a target for the 6th round, they needed a distraction.

I think we could have him as a free agent, so I doubt they would use a draft pick on him. I also think they would prefer to sign an old veteran QB as their emergency third stringer. Might be better for Keenum to be a free agent anyway. He could pick the team that could give him the best shot at making the team.

Ryan Lindley still on the board, thought he would be gone by now. Could be a QB for Kubiak to groom.

    If not just take BPA.
