Must have thought Bullock wouldn't be an UFA. Hope he is kicking here for a long time!

I don't mind it at all - it does lock him in, and he's got a powerhouse leg. With the early picks, they're in bonus territory. Nice to take care of a need rather than pick a practice squad guy

Well, guess we needed him. Can't really complain, I guess. Is he worth a 5th? If he's here for 10 years a you suggest sammy, then that's value.

Edit: more I think about it, more I like it.

During interviews at the NFL Scouting Combine, Houston Texans special teams coach Joe Marciano asked Texas A&M kicker Randy Bullock how he would handle his first adverse situation in the NFL. "You've never had a slump," Marciano said. "What happens when you have your first one?" Bullock, without blinking an eye, said, "Coach, my dad died when I was 15. How much more adversity is there?"

LOL, the NFL channel spent the whole time debating WAS's stupidity for drafting another QB, and stopped just in time to mention the Samford pick... right after the Texans pick. You'd think the first kicker (and likely only kicker picked) by his home town team might have merited a comment. Oh wait, its the Texans.
