Yeah, same here. I like spring water, I don't like the 'purified' stuff like Dasani or Aquafina. Spring water just has a certain 'crispness' to it that tap water lacks. I don't really care about the brand as much, but I still end up buying Ozarka 99% of the time; their spring water is the best.

As for third world countries, I've been to some of them and I would say a handful have better-tasting tap water than we do in the States (at least the ones I've tried here). But yeah, Houston's tap water is by and large pretty good. It would probably be a good idea to just get a water filter and save all that money on bottled water.

Just get yourself one of those $20 Brita water pitcher. It will make your water taste soooooooooo much better. I can't live without it now.

I thought this was toilet etiquette. If it's brown, send it down. If it's yellow, let it mellow

I drink Ozarka spring water in Houston.

When I'm up in Tahoe it's tap water...I mean the lake is 99.9% pure..You can drink out of that Lake no problem....or mountain streams, etc.

I had one of these in the dorms, and it is invaluable.

The filter that hooks onto your faucet is only like 5 or 10 dollars more though. That's what I use and I try to drink at least a 1-2 liters a day.

I don't drink as much bottled water as I use to. In college, when I could use my meal plan on bottled drinks, I drank it out the arse. I like to drink Perrier now, but I drink it because it has the natural fizz and I also like to drink the lemon flavored Perrier. For my money, I prefer Dasani of the major bottled water labels. Fiji not that great to me, but not bad. Evian tastes terrible to me. I don't understand how it's so popular.

We have a four-station reverse osmosis filtration system installed at our house. We drink from that. Straight tap is crap.

My dentist told me the same thing. Houston water is fluorinated from what she has heard and read.
