Maybe all the strip clubs can open up on the land where Astroworld used to be! Now that would be a tourist attraction for sure!
HISD sucks. Everytime I see that PR guy Abbott on the news, I want to ask him "What are you smoking?"
yeah, i agree. my point, which i am failing to make clear, is just that the old times square was part of the fabric and flavor of the city. manhattan is getting more and more disneyfied. i like funky. you know how it is, like the keep austin weird thing.
I know exactly what you're talking about. I fear the country will become one giant Disney strip mall, and the kind with Home Depot and MacDonald's, not the kind being put out of business in Houston.
Though I know it will make my wife happy this is going to be one of the few black mark's on the otherwise successful record of Bill White.....F City Council.....When's the last time you saw a kid inside a strip club? Where else am I supposed to watch pay per view fights, my house? Long Live Treasures, The Men's Club and of course Steve's Steakhouse aka The Ritz ,aka the greatest bachelor party ever......I'm glad I live outside the city, because the rest of you guys are about to get F'ed in the A with your property taxes....Total BS.....
KEEP HOUSTON NEKKID! i'm gonna run with that one.... btw, this is complete and utter bullsh!t if they actually force a lot of these places to close. treasures? mens club??? f*ck that! excuse my language, but this is ridiculous.
OK, originally I didn't care because I'm not really a strip club kind of guy, but DAMN that's a LOT of clubs.
At least the Colorado lives, I certainly don't want to go to the boonies to that mansion place. Does anybody know the place I'm talking about? My brother and I passed by it coming down 45 on our way back from paint balling once. I bet that place is like Porky's.
And frankly, as large as the SOB industry is in Houston, their portion of total sales tax revenue is a drop in the bucket.
He's not smoking anything. I'm certain he is very well compensated for playing the shell game he plays on a daily basis.
what would ya'll think of this trade off.... adult oriented businesses out and casinos/gambling in? b/c Houston is gonna lose money, so they gonna have to find a way to replace that money.....
i'm on the fence when it comes to opening casinos here. personally, i don't have a gambling problem. but i can see how this would affect a few people close to me. they already make trips to LA at least twice a month and lose their asses off. having easier access could make it worse.
