How does a team with unlimited cap flexibility and multiple draft picks only have 3 or 4 good players on their entire team after 3 seasons? Charlie Casserly should be sued for gross incompetence.
Not true. We can stay crappy. Me too. Honestly, I feel that McNair has gone to great expense to bring the NFL back to Houston and deserves fan support.
This is sad but I will admit I am in the same boat. I was a DIE HARD Oilers fan, but I just don't care too much about this team.
Did you guys care about them when the franchise first started? If so, at what point did they lose you?
I don't think for most of these guys it was a matter of losing them. We all watched in the first year because it was a new team and football was back in houston, we beat the cowboys and everything else was gravy. Now three years later and the team is in shambles and justifiably people are upset because the team was grossly mismanaged in the front office and on the field. The novelty of football in Houston has worn off and there is no reason to like this team or let me say there is nothing this team has done to make us like them. We root for them or watch them because we are either a) homers or b) feeling a little bit held hostage afraid that if we don't support them we will lose them like we did the Oilers. That said up to this point, this team has done nothing to earn a single fan to this point.
Welcome to the Washington Redskins of the 90's. Bad offensive line, unstable young qb, and unable to stop the rush. Now you see why he was ran out of Washington by Dan Synder.
Since I live out in California now, I finally got to see my first Texans game of the season. Eventhough I knew they were winless, saw the highlights every weekend, and heard about all of the offensive line woes... I was thinking, "Really, how bad can this team be? They were decent last season." Boy was I wrong, they REALLY are that bad!!! Give some credit to the Seahawks, they are the best offensive team (statwise) in the league. But there's no reason a team should be converting first downs by running the ball when its 3rd & 20. It's just plain embarrassing! And don't say Shaun Alexander is one of the best in the game... because Maurice Morris did it as well. This team simply doesn't know how to do the fundamentals... tackle on defense, blocking on offense.
