Highlights looked great! Noticed he only grabbed two rebounds. Can anyone that saw the game offer any input on that?

    My 2 cents:

Cbud was just Cbud. Played his role and played it well. Hopefully he'll be with the rockets for a long time.

Hill pretty much sucked the 1st half. 2nd half he calmed down and showed what he has been working on during the offseason. I'm a little concerned that someone as raw as he is is relying on finesse skill moves. If that is the type of player he is going to be then he is going to need a LOT of dedication to be successful.

PatPat made the most of his opportunity and I really dug his demeanor. It seemed like he always knew where to be on offense, and that's pretty awesome considering this isn't that far away from pickup ball. I'd like to see him get more minutes before I try to really get a read on his d and rebounding.

I liked Johnson's physicality and emotion, but I don't see him making the squad. Would love to see him with the vipers.

Taylor is a love/hate thing. Reminds me of Mobley. No conscience. If he works hard though, he could be great.

Pat's play reminds me of LaMarcus Aldridge. They both have a good outside game. Shot is fluid and they can both play with their back to the basket. If Pat turns into a LaMarcus Aldridge for us, that would be awesome. If he can translate Summer League play to the regular season, we could be looking at the Rookie of the Year. Upside for Pat is looking good.

I'l answer it for you. What I noticed is you don't notic him. He plays solid D but you just don't notice it. But the you look up and you see him fighting his guy off the block. I would call him a quiet Pitbull. Pitbull Pat. he definitely doesn't have the explosiveness of Landry, very few in the league do, but he is explosive as evidence by his monster jam back door play. He is fast just brooks fast. The best way to describe him is Mr. Solid All Around Player.

How did anybody mistake Hill for 270 lbs? He's about 240-250 lbs. He still needs to gain 10-20 lbs of muscle, so he doesn't get pushed around so easily. Summer league scrubs shouldn't be able to budge him.

Jordan has potential to be great player but he has to break it loose and be more physical down low!

Are you complaining about Taylor???? Dude has polished his game with a consistent outside shot to go along with his relentless attack to the rim. Besides, he made some nice dishes on the break.

Taylor was the best player on the court by far, and I am very happy with him.

I feel really good about our bench, next season.

Battier - still a good defensive player when healthy
Lowry - attacking point guard who is a decent passer (wish he was a better shooter)
Chandler - good athletic defensive center
    Hayes - The Chuck Wall
Patterson - He looks promising (He was top 10 in mock drafts for a reason, he is undervalued)
Budinger - Great offense player, improving defensively ( I hope)
    Hill - Still improving

    IR
    Johnson
    Taylor

I like our bench against most teams, even the Lakers. I think most of players on our bench could start on other teams (maybe inferior teams), or get near 30 mpg. I'm confident in the makeup of this team, and any moves that Dork Elvis might make.

Taylor looks incredibly explosive out there. I could see him being a big player off the bench next year.

Thoughts on the Rox players from the game tonight.

    1. Patterson - looked very good, a solid player all over, and the 3pt shots were amazing, hopefully he keeps it up.

    2. Chase - Jump shot was off, but did everything else very well, I am looking for him to be a little more aggressive on drives in the SL and he did a few of those, overall solid game.

    3. Jermaine Taylor - I really want to like this guy, and he did some nice scoring of the ball, but a lot of what he did on offense doesn't transition to the regular season, he has got to start playing off the ball and passing some, but maybe the coaches are featuring him this season.....could be....still overall good game.

    4. Hill - looked bad in the first half, and great in the 2nd half, has trouble with bigs pushing him around a bit, needs to hold his ground a little better, but overall you can see some nice improvement, he and Chase look good together.

    5. Ish Smith - I was very impressed with how he ran the team, very smart, good dribble drive and good set up man, had several alley oops to Hill.....he looked like our best option for the 3rd PG in some time let's see if he can keep it up.

Overall, the Rox looked better than all other NBA Summer league teams.....which is always fun to watch a Rox team win.

    See you all tomorrow.

That spin move Hill did at the 28 sec mark was awesome.
