    The Heat will win it.

I still think the Rockets have a long way to go. Jones and D-Mo at PF (or Greg Smith) is still a problem. They are too young and inexperienced to be starting in their first season. Jones can rebound and D-Mo can stretch the floor, but the Heat are far more experienced. The Spurs got stronger (and older), and it's possible the Nets could surprise some of us.

The Heat could easily go small with:

    Bosh
    LeBron
    Allen/Battier
    Wade
    Chalmers

and kill us. Dwight has to improve his offense or we can't stop them.

If Morey thinks like OP the Rockets will never meet the Heat in the playoffs.

The only change we've made so far is upgrading Asik to Howard, and you think we're in the finals?

Houston in 4, sweeping the former champs by blowouts of at least 20 points each game. Book it.

Having Asik as Howard's backup is huge...if we keep Asik that is. We'd have the best center position in the league easily which is a big advantage. Getting someone like Josh Smith would be a decent (but not big) upgrade too. I don't think it'd be a stretch to see us at the 2 or 3 seed next season, if Morey pulls off the Smith deal I think it would further solidify his status as a great GM. We'd be a guaranteed title contender...top 3 in the league for sure. It's amazing what we've become since the scola/lowry days to what we have now...and I kind of liked those teams. In Morey we trust!!!

Agreed. Right now we are a second round exit or we make an appearance in the WCF if we're lucky. Depends on when we meet OKC. The Spurs might give us some trouble too (think about how they took Howard out of the playoffs last year).

Nope. We've ADDED Howard to our current roster. You saw what Cleveland was like after Lebron left. Not saying Howard is that good but he can have a similar impact upon a team.

If we don't trade Asik, count on a solid 48 minutes of center hell for the Heat.

Pre-season last year I had the Lakers and Miami in the NBA finals, don't think that worked out. Don't count your NBA Finals before they hatch.

Hopefully Dwight has a strong appearance he's been great this year. I think if Josh Smith can take less shots we might win this
