February 14th is a day that single people find extremely detestable. I have a way to escape this day completely. That is to fly to American Samoa right now, which is located in the UTC-11 time zone, the last place in the world to celebrate the New Year. When it’s 11 PM on February 13th local time, you just take a boat. That’s right, take a boat to the neighboring Independent State of Samoa. Since it’s summer there, they are observing daylight saving time at UTC+14, and you will go from UTC-11 23:00 on February 13th to UTC+14 02:00 on February 15th. In other words, you travel through time and have never appear on February 14th.
