    I know...just messing with you.

    Yeah he's been called that since his New York days growing up.

    Not to be confused with Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez of Sandlot fame

    @swakid8
    Wasn't the previous plane a 767? N625HR looks like a converted former Asian airlines plane that was around 30 years old when it was acquired back in 2019. So the new one uses the same N625HR registration? Is that the way it works? I'm asking because it looks like N625HR just landed in San Antonio earlier today where the Rockets play the Spurs tomorrow.

    Those couches that convert to beds are perfect for Chet's long frame. Time for the basketball gods to come through big for Houston.

    I don’t remember Kenny ever being called “The Jet” as a Rocket. I don’t think he had a nickname at all. Except Bill Worrell called him “Kinny”

    Thirty years old... I hope they changed the oil and didn't hot rod it. Has anyone seen the PlaneFax on this thing -- has it been wrecked?

    Yeah, that's how I found out about the plane, but that registration has been flying for a while, so it's not new. That's why I was wondering how that stuff works... does the "N625HR" registration carry from an old plane to a new plane or does the new plane (whether it's really "new" or not) get a new designation? According to this site, that plane has had different registrations, so maybe it changes : https://www.planespotters.net/airframe/boeing-767-300-n625hr-houston-rockets/epl5k3?refresh=1

    Anyhoo... just curious and trying to learn more about it. Hope the guys enjoy the new ride -- looks sweet in there.

    Same plane I would imagine, in case of theft or accident. Cuts down on confusion.
    Serial # as well, like a vin# of a car.

    If truly new would have new numbers

    sidenote: just guessing though
