[ Any team that clogs the lane and doesn't guard at the level. You don't have to have Dyson Daniels if nobody has to guard past 12 feet If having 2 big athletic ball handling guys made 2 man offense easy - Orlando would have the best offense in the league, instead they have one of the worst.
He wasn’t the player Alp is at the time. He was an upside pick, comparable player would be Jalen Green
Ingram is was so much better than Green ever was. Greens ceiling is Ingram and I was a draft Green guy
Glad to see the report about Sengun being on the table. Not because I want to trade him for Giannis, but because I want to see us drive up the price for the Spurs if they want him. Can't get him for a steal like they did with Fox.
Draft night trade chatter: Keep tabs on the back half of the lottery Since Monday's lottery drawing, most trade speculation has focused on the top three picks in the 2025 draft, held by Dallas, the San Antonio Spurs and the Philadelphia 76ers. Would one of those teams trade a juicy pick for a star such as the Milwaukee Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo? Those rumors have masked more likely trade scenarios, however. Chatter at the combine points to Houston (picking 10th), Portland (at No. 11) and San Antonio (picking again at 14th) as teams willing to shop picks in the back half of the lottery for win-now upgrades. Houston, of course, just took the West's No. 2 seed and already has too many young promising players to fit into its rotation, meaning it might not be incentivized to add another.
Think it’s gonna take Sengun, Green, Sheppard, Bari, and 3 firsts to get the 31 year old. Amazing that Lakers got 26 year old Luca Doncic for Davis.
Giannis doesn't like to roll. How often did he do it with a knock down shooting point guard like Dame. He still wanted the ball in his hands. The notion that he will pick n' roll with Amen means opposing teams can just stay home in the paint. Giannis might not even do it with a FVV. He's a PF that doesn't want to play center. If he comes here, he technically wants Bari's rotation spot. If Sengun gone, the fact that a Bari will be forced into a C for a bigger Gianni's is silly and will be for political reasons. Giannis is good but winning with Gianni's requires a very specific type of team build. There is 10 years of evidence. Four head coaches later, the later HC rotates because, dude is set in his ways. The young guys listens to Ime, if the team is .500, and the Greek and Ime bang heads, Ime would be the first to go. Giannis is a coach (and an equipment manager) killer in his later years. His idea of a good coach was Adrian Griffin, and when Adrian asked for different (more) things out of the team, he was booted. He's the type of star that if Rockets don't win, instead of looking in the mirror will force Stone to double down and spend whatever is left in the cupboard. Would Stone still do it if offered the chance knowing the downsides.... probably. Star Chase is a powerful drug. Would I go for him, knowing not just the high trade cost, but the massive reconfiguration that might be required, probably no. Team needs shooting, go get a KD or a KD knock off (who's cheaper), or play guys like Cam/Reed provided they improve in other areas.
Sheppard / Green / Amen / Jabari / Giannis is a pretty nice 5... Brooks/Tari/Portis off the bench. Sign Lopez. Fred + Sengun + Cam + 10 + Future first to the bucks... I don't think they take that package though however I think that's at least a play-in team for the Bucks with some future upside to build around Sengun + Cam and whoever they draft at 10.
I realize that our fans love our homegrown guys but a large amount of this fanbase is delusional about the state of most of the players. Jalen has been a bad player for 90% of his time in the league and his inconsistency means we cannot count on him. Sengun is really good but his ceiling is limited and he doesn't have the ability to take us all the way. Trading both of them, plus one or two more of the "core" is 100% okay with me if it means we get a true MVP level player.
If I am Bucks, unless its Amen is in there, I am trading him to the Spurs for Dylan Harper and trying to pair him with BAP at #14 to kick off a rebuild. To me that would be more exciting to fans and their front office I don't see how we beat their offer without gutting the team and then would Giannis even want to be here if we give up too much KD would be much simpler and better fit
