i just dont see anyway our roster looks good enough after adding giannis with the project price to be Sengun + Jabari/Tari + Cam + #10 + future first.

We are not the right fit for Giannis.

If Giannis is leaving for sure the Bucks are not in the driver’s seat. They will get to pick the best offer out of probably SA or Houston (OKC is doubtful to get involved). I don’t think Dallas would be willing to piss off their fans again by trading Flagg. Sengun and probably Cam or Tari, plus 3 FRP’s should get it done unless SA wants him. If SA wants him the #2 pick of Harper plus more picks and decent players gives their re-build a kick-start. If the Bucks want more you just say no.

So we go from one of the league's premiere up-and-coming teams to an old team that is one injury away from having to blow it all up and start over?

    Pass.

Use Jalen+filller+pick to upgrade that position and this team will be in good shape.

I agree and then turn around and trade FVV and/or Dillon and picks to add several more players that fit around Amen/Sengun. Amen, Sengun, and Jabari is our core. We need at least two good outside shooters to add to our starting lineup. I’m assuming the Jalen trade brings back one. If FVV is playing 35-40 mins a game we ain’t winning s**t in the playoffs.

They're going to want a really good (proven, established) young player to sell the fanbase on it and Castle ain't it

    Agreed. Rather go after booker.

We should definitely trade for Giannis!

Obviously - we wouldn't need Sengun anymore so he would have to be on the table. The other player I would add is either Tari Eason or Brooks.

I would keep Jalen Green and Jabari. To me Jabari is a keeper for sure!!

Other than that, add some salary fillers here and some draft picks there... and that's it, lets do it!

Maybe. Although Harper would be pretty exciting to any fan base.

Getting a high octane guy that doesn’t shoot from the outside and playing him next to FVV and Jalen Green is an absolute disaster. I agree that Sengun has to be part of the package and Tari and/or Brooks is also correct. The problem is the number of picks, because we have to have enough left over to pair with FVV or Green to re-vamp our shooting and to get rid of players like FVV that won’t fit (we could just let him walk).

In the end, I think the price is going to be too high if SA puts in a bid including the #2 pick (i have my doubts). I’ve really become more interested in moving or releasing FVV and re-balancing our rosters with shooters not necessarily superstars. Amen, Sengun, Jabari as a core can still be special with upgrades elsewhere and an improvement or replacement of our head coach. Unfortunately, I think the Rockets are just going to run it back and punt the development of Amen, Cam and Sheppard for another year.

No way we let anybody walk. We resign them at a lower price to play with Giannis and then we trade him for picks or other players that fit.

The only reason I don't balk completely at the idea of including Sengun is because with both players we'd be the worst free throw shooting team in history.

    Well, I wouldn't pay that.

I see a lot of proposed deals on the inter-webs that are beyond ridiculous. Giannis = winning player, yes, great CV. But Basketball Jesus? No.

I don't think we're the right fit regardless if we hold on to Amen. I would rather go after Booker as a more affordable option who would fit better in terms of need and age.

Exactly. We need smallish upgrades at some key positions. Not some major move that completely overhauls the current team and hinders our ability to make moves in the future. I don’t want to be the Suns.

I like Harper, but I don't see him as exciting enough to be the centerpiece of a Giannis trade. He seems like a fairly "normal" #2 pick to me, maybe slightly better than average. And we've seen firsthand that being picked that highly doesn't guarantee stardom, let alone superstardom.

Basically, I think Sengun + #10 is better than Castle + Harper. And then you get into the rest of our draft haul, which I think is also better than other stuff the Spurs can offer.

It's just a question of how much we're willing to pay I think. Unless the Milwaukee front office is in love with Castle or Harper above and beyond what I personally think they deserve at this point in their careers, I think we can beat San Antonio's offer. Just a question of whether we want to pay that much for Giannis.

I think so. Most of my friends are spurs fans and agree there is probably a deal between nba, spurs, and bucks to get Giannis & Wemby together

Idk if I am a Bucks fan I would rather draft Harper & another with the 14 and have a fresh rebuild. That #2 pick is exciting for fans and front offices
