It's crazy that Milwaukee had to fully mortgage their future to build a team around him when they drafted and developed him internally. We would have to try and do that while also giving up the majority of our assets to get him.

I'm sure Stone knows how to do it, he's a lawyer, they were born knowing how to manipulate, lol.

This is probably the best assessment of Giannis and his issues. The talent is obvious but his skill set and mindset are hard to manage. The team would need to be totally reworked. Also, I don't see how Amen and Giannis could play together.

I'm more and more of the belief that I don't want to do this. Love him as a player, but acquiring him is going to likely gut this team.

No to Sengun being included. It’s Green that has to go. If they demand Sengun walk away.

Focus on a SG upgrade instead. Booker, Lavine, Coby White, Derrick White, Sexton any of those guys as our SG instead of Mr. Inconsistent and we’d still be in the playoffs.

This is how Basketball Reference describes the position Giannis plays:

Position: Power Forward, Small Forward, Point Guard, and Shooting Guard
    https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/a/antetgi01.html

The guy doesn't want to play the 5. He doesn't see himself as a center. So assuming the "chatter" has any basis for a Rockets offer for the guy, we would trade our starting center to get him? With Adams being a free agent and better suited, in my opinion, for the role he had with the Rockets at the end of this season, assuming we would be able to retain him (and I hope we do)?

Does not compute. As for Amen being bandied about by some as part of the deal, the kid better be untouchable.

No to Booker (too expensive), No to Lavine (one way player not much of an upgrade) Coby White if they take Jalen and #10 in return, Derrick White for Jalen Green and 1 pick their choice, Sexton and Collins for Jalen. Both are rentals, however.

I don’t see and how Giannis and Sengun play together. The magic formula for Giannis is play with four shooters. Amen and Sengun do not fit on a team that features Giannis.

Jabari fits with Giannis as a shooter but they both play the same position. Giving Jabari minutes at the 3 and the 5 might work, but would demote Jabari as a starter … which might be his eventual NBA destination.

Both Giannis and Jabari can play 3-5. You could make the argument that Giannis could play 2 as long as 3,4,5 are shooters.

The Buck might demand Amen … perhaps seeing Amen as a smaller version of Giannis.

Well not only does he hate playing center (he has said this, also the front office in Milwaukee has said this), but he also needs a center that can shoot. So we would have to figure out a way to acquire someone to do that if we want it to work. Are we somehow getting Myles Turner? Naz Reid maybe? Porzingis? Bol Bol? Is it time for the return of Christian Wood? Do we ask them to throw in 50 year old Brook Lopez? That guy is already washed.

That's part of why I hate the idea of including Jabari in the trade...I can kinda see the vision of Jabari bulking up and playing a stretch 5 type role next to Giannis, maybe? But if Jabari is gone I don't even know what we do there.

Vucevic is probably the most obtainable and makes the most sense

You do have to admit, Giannis + Vucevic would be a massive upgrade to our scoring, if we got those two guys. Probably about the same defensively (Vucevic is worse than Sengun, but Giannis is a defensive beast at the 4). We would be able to check off the "true #1 option" box and the "competent offense" box.

We'd probably want more of an off-ball sniper at shooting guard, unless Jalen can transform his game to fit that mold.

Other than that we'd just be an Amen jump shot away from being a top 4 contender in the NBA IMO.

The downside being that if you give up too much for Giannis you may end up in a bad spot whenever he declines, which could be after just a few more years. Or not! Who knows, LeBron made it to f*cking 40 as a superstar and the two guys have pretty similar builds--LeBron is more skilled, but Giannis is underrated in terms of his basketball skillset, especially as a passer.

Everyone is going to ask for Amen and everybody will get the same answer, NO.

They can demand all they want, but it better be a waste of their time, in my opinion.

Vucevic is an amazing fit and is a player I hadn’t even thought of.

    Vucevic/Adams
    Giannis/Smith
    Amen/Tari
    McCollum/Cam
    FVV/Reed

You forgot the part about the Bucks getting the #1 spot in next years lottery as part of that “deal”.
