I am happy with Morey's moves so far (iffy on Asik). He drafted very well this draft (Morris last draft is maybe not his fault) and did get key free agents and make great moves all off season(I also believe trading Lowry for a lottery pick and amnestying scola werent entirely his fault/idea). If we can move Martin for some picks or something I think majority of Rockets fans will be happy with that. The fact that We havent had a true superstar since Yao/McGrady is probably the reason most people want him gone (its no walk in the park to get one without overpaying, and Morey is not one to overpay ***exception Asik?***) So we will see what happens over the next season or 2.
I dont want Morey fired I just want him to do somthing that will get Rockets fans excited for the season and so far it hasnt happened
seriously, most on here vehemently defend Morey. Had Lin done what he was doing in NY for a longer stretch, that signing may have got people off Morey's back, but until he proves it over a longer stretch Morey has not accomplished his goal here that he has repeated over and over.
I just want to see some young guns play some good basketball. You all act like we just drafted Yao or something. Personally I'll cheer against any team that plays the Rockets, but will certainly enjoy a LAL/MIA/OKC game no matter what
My problem with Morey is how he's constantly selling to the fans how we have a roster full of young talent and flexibility, yet we're constantly left in the dirt when it comes to acquiring that big name because another team with better assets comes in and swoops them up. It happened with Deron Williams, it happened with Carmelo Anthony, and it happened last week with Dwight Howard. Where does that leave us? It leaves us stuck in no man's land. Too bad to make the playoffs and too good to get a high draft pick. We've been doing nothing but making lateral acquisitions. Morey, in my opinion, struck gold in this year's draft, but I'm not convinced at all we're tanking. Until Morey acquires a player we can build around, he hasn't impressed me a single bit.
