Its amazing how this team is considered a laughing stock to nba players!!! I messaged my old highschool buddy Jermaine Oneal and asked if he had any interest in coming to houston for vet minimum, his reply "LOLOLOLOLOL". Granted he is a injury prone past prime player but his feelings about our club mirrow what alot of other nba players think. As we all see, our team isnt very popular and only gets talked about when our GM seems desperate at draft time. Players and Agents are looking at our team like we are the damn bobcats!!!! 14th pick 3 consecutive years and yet solid players like lou williams, jason terry, Ersan Ilyasova, Dwight, D. WIlliams, etc etc etc wont even give houston the time of day. Les said it best in his interview with watch26 last night stating " we have to get back to the level of popularity we achieved with Yao on the roster" but moreys lowball/moneyball/no extension/ asset hoarding tactics are one of the main reasons it will be years before we have a decent team available to make a push for a ring.
stop eating up our cap space with bench players from other teams ( bucks) and replace morey since he has a bad reputation with agents and players is a good start.
I bet if you texted Morey and said what about Jermain O'neal? You would get the same response of "lolololol".
Start rebuilding 3 years ago Kept Carl Landry over Scola Kept Rick Adelman Not traded Shane for Thabeet Not aquired Trevor Ariza Still thinking give me some time............
your claim is meritted.. moreys approach has really tarnished this franchises' reputation.. its a joke how rumors swirl around this org and our players in trade scenarios and then come up short leaving egg on everyones face, Im growing really tired of it.. make something happen already, grab headlines when a deal goes through, damn
Start rebuilding 3 years ago With Yao still on the books ... how? Kept Carl Landry over Scola 50/50 call, if Landry was still here, we'd be looking at his suspect D and lack of rebounding as well Kept Rick Adelman It was a mutual parting Not traded Shane for Thabeet Shane was going to leave for Miami/Thunder anyway, and not needed when we're not contending + Rockets received a future lottery protected 1st round pick (the aim of the trade, not Thabeet) which in turn netted us the rights to D-Mo (for someone who was going to leave and we weren't going to bring back anyway). Not aquired Trevor Ariza But flipped in a year later for C Lee at a much cheaper contract
Threads like this make me wonder if people even watch basketball in general. Would have love to seen the garm during the Francis era. Was it this ridiculous?
