It feels like we haven't been an elite three point shooting team in a while, (My definition of elite is around 38% and above). Out of curiousity I checked out the teams 3PT% over the years and we haven't had a single season at 38%...like ever. Our best three point shooting team in recent memory was the 2008-2009 team at 37.5% (our best three point shooting team ever) and we're currently sitting at 36.8%, our best clip since 2012-2013. Including this season, we've turned in two seasons of +37% shooting in the past ten seasons. By comparison, those Spurs have produced eight, including SIX at over 38% which is just damn impressive. http://stats.nba.com/team/#!/1610612745/yearoveryear/?sort=YEAR&dir=1 Hopefully things start to trend up and the Cavs game certainly brought some heat later in the game. I'd love to see some more consistency throughout the game as we're frustratingly streaky. Would also be nice to up Hardens assist count too. These misses hurt Anyways, it was interesting to see the stats match my gut feeling, but I was hoping this year would be different. Hopefully that works out to be the case. Gordon, Dekker, even KJ somewhat stand to improve. Beverley will bring his shooting. Just gotta get to that 38 and I think we'll become a top two or three offense in the league.
Just looking at 3 pt % is inaccurate. You also have to check volume. Shooting high volume of 3 pointers at 37% is not bad at all.
