Hey, you're local. You're included! Or were you looking at Co-Host the Jeremy Foster Karaoke Show? I hear Chance has the inside track at that job. You could do the 20/40/00 updates though.
Colin Cowherd blows. I'll stick to 610 & the local guys, thank you. I've never heard Fox Sports Radio - is it worth a crap?
He still does an hour each week as "the Saturday morning golf dude." I'm a bit bummed that "KTRH Sportsbeat" is probably going away. There has been a show with that name on that station in the evening time slot since the days when dinosaurs roamed. They should bring Trupiano back to do a special "final show" instead of just having it disappear or quietly become "KBME Evenings."
How about... 7:00 - 11:00 John and Lance 11:00 - 2:00 Rome 2:00 - 4:00 David and Mark 4:00 - 7:00 Rich and Charlie 7:00 - 10:00 Matt and Jeremy
I'd like to have another national show fill the vacated Dan Patrick slot instead of another local show. I'm all about our local teams, but there's only so many calls a day I can stand to hear asking how the host is doing even though they've said "good" to the previous 50 callers, then rambling about how Bagwell sucks, Steve needs to be moved to the 2, and how Matt Stevens is the worst player in NFL history. Outdated examples, but you get the point. Or if we do stay local, maybe make it a guest intensive show without caller interaction--or maybe just find a host that is entertaining enough to carry a 2 hour show without falling backs on callers. Just my two cents.
10:00 - 1:00 Rick Ballou (Sporting News Radio) 1:00 - 5:00 Kevin Wheeler (Sporting News Radio) 5:00 - 9:00 John and Lance (w/ David Daloti doing the updates) 9:00 - 11:00 David and Marc (w/ Danny Vera doing the updates) 11:00 - 2:00 Jim Rome 2:00 - 4:00 Tim Brando (Sporting News Radio) (w/ Matt Jackson doing the updates) 4:00 - 7:00 Rich and Charlie (w/ Jeremy Foster doing the updates) 7:00 - 10:00 Matt and Jeremy (w/ Rob Costa doing the updates) You guys are picking up SNRadio right? Or am I mistaken?
Show ideas: "The Cynthia Cooper Super Duper Pooper Hour" "Talking Smack with Billy D." "Speech Therapy With Van Chancellor" "The Xtreme Homer Perspective" (starring... oh... ALL of CF.net) "Flip-Flop Slop With Richard Justice"
Thank God I will not have to subject myself to listen to Dan Patrick anymore!!! You are lucky as hell Jim Rome is staying on 610!!! Where ever he goes I follow.
I've always thought a local 10p-midnight or 10p-1a show would be cool. Running local sportstalk against the games always struck me as a little odd.
Why do you guys hate Dan Patrick's show? I think he's funny. He has a good engaging personality. He gets alot of guests and always asks them questions unrelated to what they do. The other day Bob Knight came on and all they talked about was baseball. Dan, Dibbs and show killer will talk about a subject, and then when a guest suddenly comes in, Patrick will still stay with the subject rather than abruptly ending it and ask the guest his opinion of the subject before talking about what they do. I like that because its not the norm in talk radio. and they make fun of Phil the Show Killer. that's funny. Show killer always messes up and Dan grills him in his high pitched voice. That's funny IMO. and Dibble is Dibble. He's not that good, but he is a good fit for the show. just my thoughts
