    Fleck may be gone, but Robb Walsh is a great food critic. One of the reasons I still read the press.

    you guys know i'm a pretty straight-laced guy...family guy...pretty conservative.

    reading the press to me is like a journey into an unknown land. i'm like, "this is houston?? seriously??? this stuff actually goes on??"

    kinda funny...off topic, though. sorry! :)

    Could be. But how does that affect his food reviews? Granted, not all his reviews have been spot on, but he has introduced me to places I'd never thought of going, especially in the wards.

    He should stick to the reviews and leave out the comedy. Least funny wannabe comic since Carrot Top.

    I don't read the Houston Press very often, but this article on Texas Barbecue is really good. Talks about "Black" barbecue vs "white" barbecue and the history of Texas barbecue in general. Its long but a good read if you have the time. And, it will make you crave for barbecue...

    I've read it. One of the reason's I like Walsh. He wrote a book on it, as well.
