I hope it is us and I hope that we use this pick to move up further and grab someone that can impact this team.
yeah, i'm pretty sure we own T-Will at this point. No way we could get anything close to decent value for him right now. I think we are stuck with this kid. Coach is going to have to find a way to make him work.
What makes you think that's what's going to happen? It may be possible that we are acquiring higher draft picks to move up even higher in the draft. Let's wait and see how this plays out.
Just for clarification, @incarceratedbob is an idiot who makes things up for attenion. Here's his breaking news from last summer: http://knicksblogger.blogspot.com/2010/07/nyk-source-tells-me-lebron-to-ny-is-99.html http://www.prosportsdaily.com/forums/showthread.php?t=505221&page=88
I have a gut feeling that, if this trade with the Bucks were to go down, it’s going to be a lot bigger than what we are hearing (Lee for #10)… My guess is it will involve more players, multiple picks, and possibly a third team.
I see one of two things happening, if we manage to get the 10th pick and Ersan Ilyasova for Courtney Lee and 23rd pick. Pistons take Bismack Biyombo at 8th and we take Tristan Thompson at 10th and then swap players, with us packaging the 38th pick in the swap. Then we use the 14th pick on Donatas Motiejunas. Waking away from this draft with C Biyombo and PF/C Motiejunas and SF Ilyasova
I really like the idea of doing a trade that involves us staying in the first and acquiring Bogut without losing Scola/ Martin / Lowry. I'd be willing to part with Lee and Patterson for that Lowry / Dragic Martin / Williams Klay Thompson / Buddinger Scola / Hayes Bogut / Thabeet That's a solid team right there and I'd feel confident matching up against almost any one in a 7 game series.
Unless Kanter or somebody that's supposedly be REALLY good unexpectedly plummets to #10, I don't like the idea.
