Houston (or Clutchfans everywhere), is it OK to be happy for Ducking Fallas?

I am happy despite my hate for the Mavs. It was weird rooting for them but state pride was a huge factor. Also Dirk deserved it more than the entire Heat team.

 

I voted 'Yes" and not just because I happen to live in the Dallas area now. It was actually kinda nice to watch all of the celebration at the airport, the parade and the AAC. Folks up here have suffered with this team for 31 years and have lived though some really bad times so watching them beat the "Super Friends" was especially nice. In the end, Dallas winning its first NBA title had nothing to do with Houston. If it had been the Rockets winning the title (yeah, right...), it would have had nothing with Dallas. Simply put, the Mavericks don't even consider the Rockets to be their in-state rival. They focus more on the Spurs than on the Rockets. All of this so-called "Dallas Hate" is misplaced emotion that would be better focused on the true reasons for the lack of success for Houston's pro sports teams: inept ownership and their various organizations. All this hatred comes off as petty and reeks of loser jealousy and I know you folks are better than that.

 

I am not jealous of Dallas. I HATE all of them. As people off the court and on the court. Every single member of their organization is worthless to me.

It's definitely not because I'm jealous of them.
