Prediction: Spurs rest their starters (and it might not even matter because they've been playing like ****) and the Warriors go 2-0. Rockets beat the Suns but lose to the Lakers for a 1-1 split. Rockets end up with the 7th seed against the Spurs, who suck.

The Nuggets are stronger than the Spurs. While it may sound nice to lock up the 6th seed... it would mean a much tougher fight, and greater chance of a 1st round exit.

Since the NBA is rigged I really don't think there's a chance they let a Rockets/Spurs series slip past them. Although I could definitely see them wanting a Rockets/Thunder series as well. My guess is at the very minimum have 0 chance of beating the Lakers in LA in the last game (gee I wonder why).

Nuggets, Spurs, Grizz, Clips or even OKC. Bring them on. Rockets cannot play scared, and I don't think they will.

Fans have to nut up and forget the regular season. The playoffs are a whole new ball game baby.

I don't know why any of you guys would want to play the Spurs. You guys are underestimating Pop's coaching ability especially in a 7 game series he's going to school Mchale. Furthermore, Duncan would embarrass Asik and anybody else we decide to put on him.

Duncan didn't have 1 good look against Asik last time we played them. I know it's not really wise to project that look over 7 games, but I think he'd be up to the challenge.

You don't think George Karl would out coach McHale?

This. People are crazy and delusional on this board. Playoffs are completely different from the regular season. Spurs will take defense to another level and make it a half court game. The thought of winning against the Spurs in a 7 game series is pure fantasy. Give me the Nuggets any day than the Spurs.

We beat the Spurs once on Harden's gamewinner and we also took the Spurs to overtime in a loss (the Harden-less Lin 38pt night).

    I'd rather play the Spurs.

Great teams like the Spurs don't fade away, they lose hard in a stunning upset that signifies that they need to rebuild. I think the Rockets can demonstrate that Duncan is done.

If we lose to the Fakers, are we the 8th seed?

yes. they would hold the tie breaker over us because our head to head would be 2-2 and they have better conference record.
