Thank you! Everyone is so scared of Denver when our other choices are the two favorites in the West. Why not face the most beatable of the three and take our chances? Denver is an injury ridden team with no superstar. If we play to our potential, we can beat Denver in a series.

    Here's what i predict:

If we go 0-2...we drop to 8th seed
If we go 1-1...we get 7th seed
If we go 2-0...we get 6th seed

All of these are based on opponents' schedules too.

With a loss tonight and vs. LA on Wednesday, the Rockets could drop all the way down to the 8th seed.

So tonights game in Phoenix = Must win.

I rather we play San Antonio than Denver, Denver has too much depth and Harden struggles agains Iguadola and the other lengthy shot blockers they have.

And San Antonio has an injured Ginobili and Parker not at 100%, they don't have anyone that can match up with Harden, while Asik can match up with Duncan.

Asik struggles agains more athletic bigs. And Lawson just eats Lin for chinese takeout.

The Manimal isn't missing the first round of the playoffs. That won't happen.

Lose to the Suns to play San Antonio, and beat LAL to knock them out of the playoffs. (Hopefully Utah can win beat Minny and Mem)

The Spurs may be really motivated to beat the Warriors tonight, because if the Rockets win tonight and Golden State wins their last game at Portalnd, which they will want to in order to avoid playing the Thunder, then they will play them in the first round. The Rockets beat the Spurs without Harden last time so I think the Spurs would prefer to play the Warriors. The Rockets should definitely try for the 6th seed. If Faried is going to miss many playoff games, I think that makes the Rockets the favorite to beat Denver. Just like another poster said already, then the Rockets will have the homecourt in the secound round if the Warriors upset the Spurs. It would be interesting if the Warriors want to play the Spurs instead of Denver, they could just lose tonight on purpose.

The only game we need to win is vs the lakers. Give Utah the last playoff spot. We don't need to face Denver yet.

FYI, Rockets did not beat the Spurs without Harden. It was Harden who made the game winning shot.

Either them or the Thunder, or SA.

No way in HELL I wanna see OKC, Westbrook will embarrass Lin while Harden will try entirely too hard against his old team. Popovich will simply dissect our defense and outcoach Mchale while Parker takes apart our defense. I also think SA will slow the game down, which is a huge disadvantage

We want Denver. Especially with Faried and the other guy out

hmmm What I think about denver HOW about they can suck JEEZ the lack of faith people have in our rockets. The rockets aren't going to lay down for denver or anybody in the playoffs which is what I would want to see we are underdogs no matter where we finish this season but teams still have to fight us to advance and the rockets pace AINT NO JOKE.

Too much glorifying the other teams and their players. How about our young Roxs who have blown out pretty good teams when they played their game with ball movement, and good 3pt shooting. These other teams may be praying that they don't have to face us for fear that they get blown out by us (at least at our home court) which can so damage their confidence to meet a higher seed even if they win over us. Haha. Never hurt to be optimistic about our hard-playing ball-sharing youngsters with a superstar Harden and a possible Linsanity mode JLin.

Any team we face in the playoff would be an upward battle, so to me there is not much difference. Our players need to gain some PO experiences this year, that all.

Rockets should pull all their starters from the game today and have the Suns send us to the 7th seed. There's no way we can beat Denver in that altitude and all their depth. SA has Ginobili injured, and Asik is able to guard Duncan and Parker is not at his best right now. We should give it an effort on Wednesday, at it is Nat. TV against LA :)

Well if the Warriors lose tonight and we win then we're basically guaranteed the 6th seed.

If we lose and the Warriors win then the last game vs the Lakers is a must win to avoid 8th.

If we win and the Warriors win then it comes down to Wednesday.
