*Bouncer throws srrm and his friends out* srrm: What did you do that for? Bouncer: For being a b*stard with no manners, and not a dook of an idea how to comport yourself public-wise, O my brother. srrm: I don't like you should do what you done, and I'm not your brother no more and wouldn't want to be. Bouncer: Watch that. Do watch that, O srrm, if to continue to be on live thou dost wish. srrm: Yarbles! Great bolshy yarblockos to you. I'll meet you with chain or nozh or britva anytime, not having you aiming tolchocks at me reasonless. Well, it stands to reason I won't have it. Bouncer: A nozh scrap any time you say. srrm: Doobidoob. A bit tired, maybe. Best not to say more. Bedways is rightways now, so best we go homeways and get a bit of spatchka. Right, right?
I figured the majority of the reactions to hearing that it was Red Door would be similar to yours. I mean, apart from the incident described by TheMountain Top above, I haven't heard anything negative about it before, plus my buddies like going there and we've been treated fine in the past. I don't really have other details to give you. We were close to heading out for the night because my friend was too drunk, when his legs buckle and he falls over. The initial bouncer saw this, came over and asked us to leave politely and we were happy to oblige. I think he said: "You guys should probably get him out of here. I mean if he can't stand then he's got to go". Two of us have the drunk one over our shoulders and are walking him out of there with bouncer #1 following us about 2m behind. Then bouncer #2 comes over (the long hair + mustache guy) and starts pushing us out of the club. I try to stay close to my buddy to stop him from falling over while we were being pushed out. Once we're outside, bouncer #2 shoves the drunk guy to the ground (pulling our 2nd roommate with him), while I'm trying to catch him from falling. I think bouncer #2 wants to do more, but I hear bouncer #1 saying something to him, like asking him to go back inside or something, can't say for sure. Bouncer #2 says something nasty and heads inside. Bouncer #2 seemed like he wasn't all there at the time. I've tried to think back and remember if any of us said anything to bouncer #2 before the incident... but it's impossible as none of us had seen him before then. Other details: We were almost 12-15 people who had gone as a group. As far as I know, none of the others did anything to offend anyone else at the place. Let me know what else you want to know. I think this happened around 1:15-1:30am or so.
I hate Red Door and Drake. The bouncers there wouldn't let one of our buddies in because he had a small rip in the bottom of one of his jean pantlegs once. That I can somewhat try to justify if they're super strict about dress code. What I can't understand is another time when the bouncer asked our female friend if she had her passport with her. I would think a drivers license, a student ID, and a slew of credit cards would be enough. Who the hell carries their DL AND passport when theyre going to a club. Same ol crap at Drake. Douchey places.
