The Dickerson part throws it off. His salary is in the 3mil range, Mooch is going to be a mil.

There has to be some other intangibles in the deal to bring Dickerson here. Maybe Mooch is part of that deal (once signed).

That would be a great trade. We would get Dickerson back. He could come off the bench.

So that we can hit the brick wall called the Lakers, Blazers, and even possibly Mavs next year? Look at Phoenix of recent years...3 guard lineups don't work enough to get you to the Finals.

    HeyP loses.

Dickerson would be great trade bait! His salary is low, and talent is high, so he'd be very valuable in a trade when salary caps are important.

    nope nope nope

My side always sad the 3 guard line-up wins. Mobley has been guarded by more SFs and defended more SFs that Dickerson ever has, and even more than Shandon.

Remember you crack about what I need to do with prototype 238lbers. Same here, just because you HAVE TO assign the number 3 to a starter, does not mean we aren't playing a 3-guard small line-up off the bat.

you lose if Francis, Dickerson, and Mobley are starting and no SF usurps Langhi. No way you can weazle out of the 3-guard part of my whole argument.

You win if we get Rodney White

OK! I was just riling you up.

Doesn't matter! We will get Webber if we land a top center!! and resign Mo', and Mo' will play SF.

The 3-guard will be a run and burn game, but it won't be based on a new SF....tada!!

Griffin, White, Battier, Richardson, Johnson, Radmanovic and Diop could be available at #6. I love either of those trades!

But Curry or Battier WILL be there at #4, so that one probably will not happen. Actually, if Vancouver would give us their later pick, even without Dickerson, I'd do that deal, and take Griffin, White, or Diop, then Morris later in the first round.

You're an uncle ****er yes it's true, nobody ****s uncles quite like you.

Apparently heyrevisionist is redrawing the bet lines ladies and gents. The bet is and I quote (I also saved this to my harddrive beeyotch .|.. ..|.).

I personally don't give a damn if the guy is a 7'1" 240 lb. player, a 6'3" 190 lb. player or your definition of a PF: 6'9" 238 lbs. But I took the bet on face value. I must have accidentally literally interpreted:

Wait, I heard something. What was that?

    Huh?

    Say that again?

At SF? Oh the #3 position in the lineup. I must have missed the part about such and such body style or something.

    .|..   ..|.

    You're going dowwwwwn beeeyotch.

Webber, Mo', first round obligation to the center and addiing on Dickerson's contract,n ot to mention resigning Moochie(think he'll take the minimum after we go over the cap?) and 2 more players(assuming we renounce the rights to FA's Hakeem, Bull, etc.)?

You better be working some serious salary cap magic my friend!

    Achebe,

Dickerson does not win the bet...you fool.
If Rudy says, Dickerson will be our three, you win. But he won't say that. He will say that we are going with a 3-guard line-up.

poor poor little heads can't understand that there are basketball systems that specifically do not use 1 2 3. A statistician does not determine the bet, neither does your pee brain. A Rudy quote decides the bet. If he says we are going 3-guards, that means there is no SF.

The bet always said that it takes a definitive Rudy about a new SF for your side to win!! But don't worry, I will concede if we get White, not Dickerson.

    poor poor whittle basketball minds can't conceive of 1 2 2 4 5 lineup... where's my 3...somoene took my 3...Sega Genesis always has a 3...I'm soooooo confuuuuused!

no, the poor wittle minds perfectly understand the 3 guard lineup, but your bet doesn't give you an out for the 3 guard lineup. You argued that the front court would be upgraded before the 3 and insinuated that Mobley/Francis/Moochie was perfectly fine back there so get used to us drafting big men like Bradley/Murphy/whomever.

This is all pointless though. There's no way in hell that Rudy reaches for Diop at #6. Eddie Griffen? More than likely, though I'd rather lose the bet than have him on the team. Shane Battier? Definitely. Rodney White? Definitely.

Shane Battier is a dream. He's in the same age range as Mobley and Francis and will sit with those guys perfectly. He might have to deal w/ Mobley going *boing* *boing* all of the time, but other than that, I think they'd all mesh perfectly(other than Shane needing some jive talk lessons from widow Cleaver).

That is the bet that I am in on too. Screw that 3 guard lineup clause. If somebody beats out Langhi and they arent on the roster YOU LOSE. DATS IT. BOTTOM LINE.

Like Achebe says , dont matter what he looks like as long as he beats that scrub Langhi. BOW DOWN.

This begs the question I raised a few weeks ago for which I was roundly scolded: Would MoT be considered a new player or not?

He is a free agent, so technically he is not a Rocket yet he was on the roster last year.

If the Rockets asked about Dickerson that tells me that Cuttino Mobley is on the trade block. Hmmmm. . .
