I did not see news of a new heat offer ? What is it ?

Richardson is a good player , but he is not quite as good as Gordon and will be getting paid for multiple years .

Those kinds of contracts only shine when they are on a real competitor . MIN is not .

Miami doesn't have a 21' pick to offer . Miami isn't going to offer an unprotected pick further out. We will because it's worth it for us to compete now. Furthermore Miami will need that pick if it is to surround butler with enough talent to compete .

The only way our offer gets beat is if philly , Boston jump in and offer one of their blue-chip young players .

I personally feel like Richardson is valued more than Gordon. Younger, taller, better contract that is cost controlled. But your point on future 1sts is spot on.

I do not see Boston getting into this. Philly could....but the chemistry of Butler and Simmons/Embiid could be something Philly would give pause to as it relates to how Butler is meshing with KAT/Wiggins.

I agree that richardsons contract is better than Gordon's ... but only by a bit .

Richardson has a dreaded player option in year 4 , so that's not great for MIN. Those three years of control are nice , but Richardson also isn't a player that is going to drastically help you win . He's a 4th/5th starter or 6/7th man type guy on a true contender.

I think a lot of frustration on the rockets fan's side is that it seems like MIN doesn't know what it wants ... or more accurately looks like it wants everything . Cap relief , players to win now , future considerations .... and they want all of this for a guy who will walk for nothing at the end of the year . Even if they think they can work a SnT with jimmy , they are looking at max 1-2 bad firsts and a bad contract .

Knights contract isn't that bad . Chriss' is fine because I think we can decline the option and he will expire this year ... and they get 4!! ****ing first rounders .

I guess so, even though i'm not sure how they can do it...i just don't see Pat taking back Dieng, not even for Whiteside, maybe for Waiters, but i don't see how that helps anyone.

The rumor that was out there was Miami offering Waiters with Rich and 1st rounder...Waiters alone takes away the value of the pick especially since it was protected, personally i think they actually offered Olynyk there, but maybe the Wolves just don't value him that much, and if that's the case i agree with them, no reason to take back Olynyk when you have already Taj, Dieng and Tolliver.

I think to up that offer Miami would've to throw in JJ, which is probably a player Thibs likes much more than Kelly, or maybe another 1st rounder, which would be 2023. Just seems kinda strange Pat would refuse to throw in JJ if he was the piece to get the deal done, especially now that he resigned Winslow. Sure, they would lose some depth but eh...

Is knights contract really worse than waiters? What’s it like one yr longer? Atleast waiters has been on the court more recently than knight.

And Richardson is better than Gordon, going forward. He’s younger bigger and much better on D with an expanding offensive game.

The picks are what they are. I concede that the the 23 and 25 picks could be lottery picks.

But we’re in win now mode what value do those picks bring to the current roster?

This is the last chance we have to acquire a true top 10-15 player.

We stand pat and this is the team moving forward.

If we keep the picks I truely believe that in 2023 when harden is 35 cp3 is retired, if we don’t win a ring in that span we’ll be asking ourselves was this lottery pick worth not going all in on harden and cp3 primes?

    I think not.

I don’t care what the team looks like after harden gets old and cp3 is gone.

We’re going to suck point blank period it takes decades to get guys like harden and we got lucky and got another one in cp3. Take advantage and grab another hof player in his prime at a position of need and go for it.

Even if that pick turns out to be the number 1 pick I don’t care because if the harden and cp3 era didn’t produce a chip then we failed.

Harden is good enough to mortgage your future for the now.

This deal is the best offer so far, no one will offer more I believe.

At this point, I say screw the T'wolves. Don't make the trade and then laugh at them when they lose in the first round of the playoffs and Butler walks for nothing.

Heat have to include a bad contract such as Waiters, otherwise they need to pay crazy luxury tax.

..... but Micky Arison is more willingly to pay repeater taxes than Tilman.

Nah..... Jimmy Butler is a massive up grade over Eric Gordon.

I like Gordon, he is a good NBA player but he isn't close to Jimmy Butler.

The might not even make the playoffs and force KAT to ask for a trade...such a great scenario for them, really a great organization lol

Yes, we'd be better, but IMO, we wouldn't be contending for a title. Not this year. You keep Gordon AND add Butler. You're really cooking. Even then, I still think you need a decent buyout candidate that can play wing defense and crack the playoff rotation.

Whilst the Rockets scrape and stumble their way to the lower half of playoff seedings and also go out in the first round?

Exactly. Sure, I'd love to keep Gordon, but even if we lose him, Butler is an upgrade, and might bring a hunger to win that frankly seems lacking in our players so far (they seem to have a hangover from last season's success, not that suspensions and pulled hammies are helping any).
