    If Minny's GM was Morey but you forget their FO ain't the best. Not Kahn level perplexing but still. At some point McHale GM level.

    Who knows what the "final offer" might end up looking like. How many picks, what protections, what OTHER PLAYERS could be involved.

    One thing that sticks with me though, is I *doubt* Morey's "best offer" would be leaked. He would "hold that back" as a last ditch effort.

    what if the rockets just send a couple of those picks to sac for them to take diengs contract ? I wonder would they then just take Gordon and a first
    He is full of it. I hope he gets fired soon.

    You forgot the 4 1st rounder. If trade EG with JImmy without the four 1st picks, that will be different.

    Morey would undo everything good hes ever done if he included Gordon on top of Chriss, Knight, and 4 1st round draft picks.

    That's just tops stupid.

    I'd do the trade of Eric Gordon + 4 firsts for Jimmy Butler. Due to the length of time we have Harden, Capela, and Paul under contract, at least 2 of the 4 picks will be LATE first round. As we know, Morey does not highly value late first rounders, since they receive a guaranteed contract. Top of the 2nd round is the best value with the most contractual flexibility. We have a unique window to win NOW and if we have to mortgage the future a little to win NOW, then we should do it. If Morey places little value on late first round picks, then this trade essentially becomes 2023 and 2025 first rounders + Eric Gordon for Jimmy Butler. Much more digestible. Gordon, while I love him, is replaceable. Jimmy Butler is a very high value-above-replacement player. He's also a native Houstonian, which helps give us confidence that he'll stick around AND play well for Houston.

    So Morey, you have The_Conquistador's green light to move forward on this transaction. Make it happen.

    On considering Wolves have 2 big contracts in Dieng and Knight after the deal, it is impossible ....

    Woj needs to think about Tilman's repeater taxes too.

    Tilman is not willing to pay repeater taxes or luxury taxes for both Butler and Capela's salary.

    Knight isn't that bad a contract . He's expiring next year . You can take one of those 4 firsts and move him if you so desire . Also , given that he's expiring next season he will have value
