If Minny is really asking for Gordon on top of those 4 first rounders then you simply have to back off. They are obviously not interested in trading Butler and this whole process has been a charade. Never in their wildest dreams did they actually think anyone would offer upwards of 4 first rounders for him.

 

How often do our 1st rounders really pan out as productive NBA players that we couldn't obtain through cheap free agency deals? My intuition is that this is not a big sacrifice, so I don't get all the agitation about giving them up.

Yeah, Gordon and four firsts is a lot to yield. We'd still be left thin at the bigs. I don't know if Jones would get here, but Taj Gibson has to be on our radar.

Don't know why everyone is wedded to these four first rounders. You want to compete for a title now or not compete for anything now AND in the future anyway?

Wait until we're 1-4, 1-5, due to a crap bench having to step up while CP3 served a suspension and Harden is nursing his hamstring. We can afford to lose EGO for Butler. But I still think there's more to the deal.
