You can't get a better deal than EG and 4 1st round picks for Jimmy Butler.

 

Exactly... Gordon lately has just been jacking up shots and not playing consistently.. Butler a better upgrade and a better defender..

In Minnesota it all depends on Thibs, an 80 year old billionaire and a figure head GM...... they cannot even decide who makes the ultimate decision, and they all seem to be doing NOTHING until Jimmy Butler loses his mind......... and Jimmy Butler doesn't know how he is going to feel in 5 minutes.

 

I don't think that Miami would offer Bam in a trade for Butler........ and Richardson is right now averaging 20 points a game with an improved self awareness on the court. I don't see Miami moving either of them unless the owner demands it.

 

Well, from his tantrum and demanding to be traded, the reporting back to practice, playing in couple of games, those rumors up until now......

I'm not comparing Gordon and Butler. All I'm saying is that if we include Gordon into the trade, we will butcher our bench unit for the sake of improving the starters. Of course, we will still get better, but it likely won't be enough to compete with the GSW.

 

Man i'm just losing any hope, Butler will probably end the season with the Wolves or get traded to the Jazz for Favors and Ingles or to the Clippers for Bradley and Gortat

When teams are using WOJ and Shams to negotiate deals by throwing them rumors...you know somebody is making a power play. WOJ/Shams usually report NEWS, something that actually happened, an actual trade or an actual draft pick selected, or somebody hired or fired. There's an absoluteness about most of the stuff they report. Woj is letting himself be used here as a ploy to help Minny attract higher offers. His motive is undoubtedly to be able to break the trade first. So you can safely assume that this rumor is coming out of Minny and they're putting it out there as a means to up other offers.

Everybody should know we're not really offering 4 draft picks and Gordon too. We're offering 4 picks in one form or the other.

Either we're offering 2-3 of our own picks and we're planning on trading Gordon and a guy like Hartenstein to a potential playoff team for a contract and a first or possible two firsts if we threw in say Hartenstein and a future second.

or

We're offering Knight/Chriss plus 4 picks in a package and getting back Butler, another player, and a future second round pick, while keeping Gordon.

Minny is using WOJ here in an attempt to leverage our trade talks to another team who has a player/pick combination they prefer.

Anoher possibility is we are talking to Minny about a deal involving Capela and Gordon for Butler/Tyus/contract and we may have a deal to send one or both of Gordon/Capela to other teams in exchange for picks. f (and before you start, I do realize we can't trade CC until Dec. 15)

I suspect we've found a team that wants Gordon and will give up at least one first round pick for him. (ATL, BKL, PHX, maybe SAS) and we're offering Knight/Chriss package plus 4 picks to Minny with Gordon going to a third team for another pick to Minny and another player coming back in with Butler while Knight/Chriss/Gordon go out.

I understand, I just think that if the Rockets are healthy and lose Gordon, but add Butler, that we can beat the Warriors. While Gordon is a good player, Butler is just a far bigger difference maker.

I love EGo, but I think this is worth it if JB signs long term.

Got to be in WIN NOW mode. We have 3-4 years MAX with this team - ALL IN NOW - all of those picks will be bottom of the first round anyway.
