I get that it sold for 300 million but what makes it worth that? 5 years and no profit yet..
"Waitr isn’t profitable but revenue is growing, as it expands in existing territories and branches into as many as five new markets a month, Meaux said"

I am guessing it's not the product itself they bought..but the actual user base and their eating habit data. I would think thats worth something to a group of people who own restaurants.

 

That they sold to a strategic player obviously speaks to where the underlying value is at this point.

 

Congrats @CCorn. I still use it from time to time. Had an issue with one order where the driver just never showed up to the restaurant, but it's otherwise been great.
