    Hey guys,

I am a senior who will be graduating from TCU in May. I'm triple majoring in Finance, Accounting and Economics and graduating with an aprox 3.60 GPA. I'm looking to find a job in the finance, or possibly economics, area. I've been interning at a Private Equity firm for over a year. Obviously the job market for entry level is still pretty tough. I was wondering if anyone in the Houston area finance/economics industry had advice for finding a solid entry level job or know of the best place to look. Any and all suggestions will be helpful.

    Thanks

Does TCU do on-campus recruiting? I would try there first and foremost. A lot of the good jobs have already been filled but there is still some left if you look hard enough. Your GPA is pretty good and there aren't too many finance/accounting/econ triple majors out there so you should still have a nice chance at landing a decent job.

You already have private equity experience which is going to be better than most other seniors who are still searching for a job at this point.

There are a number of large i-banks with offices in Houston focusing on energy. And there are more than a few mid market banks as well. The large banks at the least are likely replenishing analysts every year. Try and get a job at one of those and then transition to energy PE in a few years. Stay with your energy PE shop for a few years, go back to get your MBA at UT, then go back to the same energy PE shop and stay there for the next 10 years making a crap ton of money but still working fairly crazy hours. Then leave with a couple of colleagues to start your own small fund. You'll be making less, but your own boss. Have success and grown your assets under management. retire. the end

I would not mind living in houston right next to toyota center and having season tickets. How much are the high rise condo buildings next to the arena?
