Welcome to our message board. Please take off your muddy-river water soaked shoes and leave them outside the door. Unlike what you may be used to at Spurstalk, unrestrained swearing is not tolerated. Dissenting opinions are generally well-received.
I was there in section 203 with my 2 Spurs fan friends. There were quite a few Rockets fans in our section and one really obnoxious, old, grizzled WWII vet looking type of guy that was even pissing off the other Spurs fans with his idiocy. Unfortunately he was gone at the end of the game, so I couldn't give him any smacktalk. Rockets fans always show up well in SA.
I think its finishing in 1st of the division. Not just some random day that we havent fulfilled in 15 years.
We were there in section 218. We has some undercover rockets fans in our section. No Rockets gear but they were cheering it up. We also has some loud idiot spurs fans...but by the end of the game they had their mouths shut and just disappeared. I made the trip same time last year and this time around def had a better turn out. The feeling of walking out of the the stadium with our heads held high as the spurs fans watch with disgust was pure ecstasy. Great plays to end the fourth and a great win by the Rockets.
Great job representing!!! Watching the game from home I was proud at the loud cheers I heard when the Rockets made good plays and the chants of de-fence when the Spurs had the ball. Great stuff. -Humer
In ESPN's Daily Dime, "A strong traveling group of Rockets fans -- making themselves known during the "rockets' red glare" portion of the national anthem -- also took the fever inside the AT&T Center up a notch, and portended great things should these teams meet again in the playoffs.
