Well I've been to the Super Target and Schneiderman's in Lakeville but other than that I usually consider it the last outpost of the Twin Cities going south. So now we got 3 Clutchfans in the land of lutefisk. I think we got the makings of a Rox viewing party. Bobrek you willing to venture North into the urban jungle of Minneapolis? Otherwise we could get somewhere closer. How about America Live at the Mall America or Champps Richfield? Any good places in Burnsville? Anymore Clutchfans out in the vast Vikings/Twins/T-Wolves wasteland?
I'm flying from Houston to Minny tonight. I'll be there all week. If some interested in a rockets viewing party Monday and/or Thursday night let me know. Otherwise I'll be watching in my hotel. I am staying in Minnetonka (spelling ) area.
ipaman; I've been sending the word out for a Rox viewing party for game 3 on Thurs. night. Still waiting to hear back from the few other Clutchfans here in the land of Lutefisk and also determine a location but thinking about either the Mall of America or Champps Bloomington. Both places are pretty easy to get to from Minnetonka.
Heh, just got back from St Louis and saw this thread. Here is one more Rockets fan in the upper midwest, in Iowa City. I am 99% likely to be going to the Astros game in Kansas City in June. I'll have to try and get in touch with bobrek if he makes that trip. Alas I don't think I'll be able to drive to MN for a viewing party but if anyone feels like heading a bit south I'm definetly game.
I'm attempting to put together the first Clutchfans Rox viewing party in Minnesota this week for game 3 on Thurs. I've heard from one Clutchfan who would prefer game 4 on Sat. and with the few of us out here want to try to get as many as possible. I'm open for either game and even doing both so let me know what works best for y'all. I'm leaning more towards Mall of America since that's a place that everyone knows how to get and is easy to get too from throughout the Twin Cities. Feel free to email me and once we set a time I'll post something in GARM to try to attract some more Clutchfans who just check that forum.
I am in minneapolis now. i am good for thursday at the mall of america or any place actually. i got my mcgrady throwback and i am ready to represent!!

I've posted an announcement of a gettogether in GARM. http://bbs2.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?threadid=95207 for game 3 this Thurs.. So hope to see any of y'all who can make it there. Up for Sat. too especially if we're going for the SWEEP! Go ROX!
Well, I used to. I think I could be classified as a person, but some of the conservatives in the debate and discussion BBS might think otherwise I pulled up stakes in October 2003 and hauled it on back to Texas, though. Iowa City is a nice enough place but lingering on in a college town is like suspended animation. Come to think of it, "living" in Iowa is like suspended animation. I remember being in Iowa for both Rockets championships. The city of Houston was rocking and it was just me, hollering at the top of my lungs, in Iowa City. Then the Bulls returned to prominence and all the bars in downtown Iowa City were just blaring music and filled with Bulls fans because 33% of the University of Iowa's students are from the Chicago suburbs. Ugh. Good to be home.
I too watched the finals from Iowa, in a much smaller college town. Everyone knew I was the resident Rockets fan so I won alot of free drinks those years. I moved back to Houston in August after the second Championship, driving all the way here with a "Believe It Again" Chronicle sign in my window. You also have to remember that BJ Armstrong was a popular Iowa player that played for the Bulls 90-95 and Iowa fans follow their players to the pros. I'm a Rocket fan because of Bullard, not because I lived in Houston. On the other hand, I'm a Texan and Astros fan because I live here. My family are Rockets fans because they know I am. If they were going to drive to Minneapolis for a game, It would be for the Twins not the Rockets.
