And how many times does Texas or Alabama or said top 25 traditional power open? Not often! I'll leave it open to a Power 5 conference. ACC, Big 10, Big 12, Pac-12, & SEC. Iowa State, Illinois, Maryland, Purdue, Rutgers, Washington State, right, I don't see him necessarily leaving for.
This is my first time in this thread and I haven't really searched for discussion on the topic, but has anyone mentioned the fact that none of the Ohio State QBs have looked very good this year without Herman?

^ If a program like Miami or Maryland comes sniffing around, we'll match those offers. USC, not so much.
Why don't the Coogs just pay the man before other teams come calling? Also, matching the offer may not be enough to keep him. If the money is equal, then he has to look at the school and football program.
Because you don't want to end up paying him to play golf for 4 years like we're doing with Levine. As far as comparing programs, you'll always be at a disadvantage to a P5 program if the guy wants to win titles. Houston's ace in the hole is Herman has 3 grade school age children. You're not going to find a much better place to raise a family, and he and his family are already somewhat accustomed to the area from his time at Rice. I aim to get 10 years out of him. If we lose him, it'll be quick, IMO.
If he manages to win AAC this year and doesn't bolt I feel pretty confident about him staying long term. As it is I'm hoping he stays at least four years.
