You are right Texxie, as we speak Dr. Khator is conducting secret meetings with the Board of Regents to dissolve the University because we can't beat Rice at Baseball. I know the atmosphere on both campuses has been electric for weeks because of this eagerly anticipated match-up and to lose it is a crushing blow to the Cougar athletic program. My personal favorite memory of Rice baseball, is coming to Reckling to root for Rice at a Super Regional against LSU, which was essentially an LSU home game, because Rice students and alumni couldn't be bothered to turn out. Doubtless the students were studying and the alumni were busy swimming in their money bins like Scrooge McDuck....but one would hope a few hundred of them would show for a Super Regional. Hope you guys make it to Omaha again....at which point I will care briefly...for the next several months...not so much. Oh wait, this thread is about UH Football....I should say something relevant to Cougar Football or I am a troll too. Lets go with 73-34 BWAH HA HA HA.
semi-OT, but since texxx brought it up...would there be any interest in an over-arching college baseball thread? I thought about starting a season-long one, but figured no one would really care, and the rice ncaabbs board is (surprisingly?) active.

Future scheduling sites have it up all over, and UNT just announced our game date today. I expect UH to make an official schedule press release soon. The first 7 weeks sets up nicely with only 1 game outside of Houston plus a bye. Should have us playing great football by the time we hit the backhalf of the schedule.
Cool thanks. All Saturday games. Usually UH puts up a Thursday or Friday game in there. Looking at the schedule, it looks like I will be able to make 10 games! I can't wait already.
I wouldn't be shocked if we move a few of our games to off-days like Thursday or Friday night, but so far, so good. I just picked up my Bayou Bucket tickets too :grin:

Did you see how they lost it? The Rice guy called a timeout (up a point with like 4 seconds left) when they didn't have any timeouts left. Two free throws later, UH wins. Lol great way to lose a game.
