The only way you're going to get back to "pure" college football (which hasn't existed since like the 1970s btw) is to: 1) remove all college athletics from television (TV revenue fuels this insanity) 2) create a pathway for young NFL-caliber talent to play and be compensated in a professional capacity
Right now I'd take a ham sandwich. It doesn't really matter who, because Dana is simply a road to nowhere. We know the formula. Hire a guy who knows Texas, particularly the Houston area, and can create a competent offense. I'm sure this person exists somewhere. Going into the new Big 12 with a known total dud at HC is a dangerous proposition. The margin for error is narrowing and we're pissing away all the excitement from this once-in-a-generation moment.
Uh!? How about consecutive losing seasons. A football team that year after year is at the bottom of the Big 12.
Doesn't really matter. When you know someone isn't it and Dana absolutely fits that, you move on and try something else. He's now had plenty of time to show any reasons of having any kind of optimism with him as a HC. Dana has failed to fulfill what was his perceived high potential was since he was hired. Not only has he failed to win significant games, one of his higher attributes considered which was recruiting has been laughable. Continuing to roll out with Dana is an utter embarrassment and even more magnified now that UH is in the B12. It's time for a new regime and direction for the football program. UH asked for this and are now in the league with the big boys. It's time for big boy moves to coincide with it

Between the schedule and how much upper classmen we have coming back fear is that next year we're going to have a rebound (8+ wins and threaten for the Big 12 title) and suddenly everyone is going to forget how awful Dana is.
I know nothing about who's coming back for UH (or really anyone else in the B12), but that schedule doesn't seem weak to me.
hell nah we're going to be trash again next season with the the portal, you really dont know who is coming back and this staff has shown they cant coach
In one of the best areas in America for Highschool football and he’s dead last in recruiting ? F-ing embarrassing
I think he is coming back next year there are way too many signs and when has Tillman ever admitted to a mistake.
Take a shot at Bob Stoops. Program needs someone who knows how to recruit the area and of course can actually coach.
