The Memphis game from 2015 came up in my FB memories today. I was ready to leave at halftime but my wife made us stay. Probably #3 Coog game I've attended behind OU and Louisville games.

Yahoo sports keeps projecting that UH will end up in the Fenway Bowl against Boston College. Yuk! I would rather go to the "Toilet Bowl." May have to run the table to get a decent bowl bid.

    Uh, OK, bye I guess.

Our QB depth chart is just plugged up due to COVID and I guess he didn't want to wait.

If he had stuck it out he would be competing with Massoud for the starting job in 2023.

Wish him well but he was a pocket passer, they need a dual-threat

I largely agree. Ward, King, and Baby Keenum were very quick on their feet and it led us to unprecedented success. If your QB can throw it and run it, the playbook blows wide open.

Tune is the least athletic QB we have had since Nick ****ing Eddy.

Yeah, I said in this thread with their schedule they could go 12-1 or 11-2.

The conference really sucks to be honest outside of one team.... and that team hasn't played all that well.

UH really isn't very good, but overall this year is exceptional for them based on the very recent past and it doesn't matter if they replaced Kansas and Vanderbilt. They get to point to their record and being ranked at late into the season. They should love to UC but they are not really playing that well either and there is a slight chance they win that game.

If nothing else they have optimism going into next season and it will help with recruiting.

So if Coogs win out and beat Cincy in Championship will they be placed in a NY6 game like in 2015??

I thought about mentioning OKorn, but IIRC he had a good top gear. He also wasn't graceful or quick but he didn't have Tune's total lack of awareness either. His main problem was he had happy feet.

A win over Cinci, especially in Cinci, should vault us over SDSU and UTSA. The funny thing is, it might not vault us over Cinci themselves in the CFP rankings, lol. The good news is that the G5 auto-NY6 bid is reserved for the highest ranked conference champion.

I'm curious how far up they would move UH.

UH has only beaten one ranked team thus far, and a win over Cincy would give them two.... including a top 5 team. Normally a one loss team with two wins over ranked teams (including a top 5 team) would bolt up the rankings.

    The answer is... not far.

My guess is that they'd all be outside the top 12.

What's it going to take to fill up TDECU? B12 teams? Juicy OOC games? Coogs are a better product here than the cult on Kirby.

I don't live in Houston, but the saw the game on ESPN. The stadium looked half empty. Very disheartening. If just the students came it would fill it up. By the way, Cincinnati is beating the snot out of SMU right now.
