If... Houston goes 12-1 Holgerson gets promoted Tune gets drafted I will shiot my pants. This is the most ass backwards thing that has ever happened in the history of college football. It's like watching a bunch of clowns win an Oscar for best film. And I am totally entertained.
lol right? this team falling ass-backwards into such lofty heights is something straight out of the producers
This doesn't seem to make much sense on the surface as he'll be in the same conference soon and his contract is specifically incentivized towards it.
He can take the party bus edit: Honestly I have given Holgorsen as much **** as anybody. I don’t know what kind of offense he has been “running” this year, but I wanted him gone after Tech, and if Tune wanted to drive him out of town, all the better. But that was a nice win yesterday and they both deserve the praise they’re getting today. Marcus Jones rules
We should win out but I'm absolutely not confident we will. This team has only played one complete game this year (Tulsa - I don't consider Rice or Grambling, lulz). They cannot afford to take anyone lightly.
Didn’t expect this. Did anyone else think they’d be in the conference championship game (at least)? This has to be the longest winning streak since the Peach Bowl season.
Nope. I thought 6 wins at best going into this season. I don't think it would have made much of a difference ranking wise, but sucks to have lost that very winnable Tech game to start.
Congratulations to the Coogs! Will go into the AAC championship game with an 8-0 or 7-1 conference record. Are bowl eligible. Should finish the season no worse than 11-3 or 10-4. However.... The choice was made to dumb down our schedule, replacing Kansas and Vanderbilt with Grambling and Uconn. Two winnable (50-50) games against lower tier power five schools for two cup cakes. What is your opinion of that? Got to feel our success was built upon a weak schedule. Considering the first game loss to a Tech team that fired its coach mid season, Coogs improved as wins piled up and confidence grew. Though there is that nagging question of was it improvement or just be the level of competition! I'd like to think that we would beat TTech today, but not sure we would have beaten Kansas then. Don't know when Vandy was scheduled. All you can do is play the games and we did that well. Who knows, maybe Coogs take down Cincy and somebody decent in a bowl game (UT and I'll cream myself) and it is all a moot point. Does anybody know next years schedule? Not looking ahead, I'm very much enjoying this season. Just curious.
I absolutely hate teams scheduling more than 1 out of conference patsy. Subject to change, UH next year: @ UTSA and Tech, Kansas and Rice at home. That's not bad at all. https://fbschedules.com/ncaa/houston/
