I'm sure UH is going to endure the inevitable PR sh!tstorm of being connected to the Baylor scandal just to do Briles a favor. Makes sense.
Former players close to him, boosters who were close to him. He was here for years, built relationships here.
Dead serious, if it's Briles, I may have to quit supporting UH (and I got my degree from there). The action would be absolutely disgusting and completely inept.
Honestly idk how Art can possibly sit in a parent's house and tell them that he will help mold their son into a good respectable man.
Les is my top choice as coach as well. At 63, he probably isn't trying to springboard into a top job. His legacy is set in stone at this point (and a damn good one). As far as resumes go, there isn't a coach in the world not named Urban or Nick who has a superior resume. He brings stability, recruits this area incredibly well and a proven winner.
That statement was long overdue. I like all of the candidates. But not sure Orlando, whose team looked like they had never seen a triple option in their entire life, deserves his shot. Let's go bigger.
THIS is hilarious. "Everybody does it" Coogs, just bend over and take it - taste it again, if you will, not for the first time. Then, just at the suggestion - without UH confirmation - that Briles would get interviewed. "Ohhhh UH, say it ain't so", 'enjoy life w/out a soul', etc. It can't be any more obvious which cats are trolls and just straight up UH haters. I get it man, I laughed at - though never participated in - the Cougar high chants when I was in the stands. It was what it was - alcohol and rivarly fueled shenanigans. I was actually at Rice while both HermClown and Todd Graham were there. And perhaps I'm a bit harsh on HermClown owing to that fact. And, who knows, maybe someday "everybody does it" will be what I can tell the cops, my kids, judges, competitors, and generally anyone and it will be condone my behavior. That day ain't today. And that ain't me anytime soon. Keep reppin HTown Coog brass. I'm thrilled that you are finally doing it with a brass pair to match. And never forget, anytime people attempt to validate behavior detrimental to you and yours - citing "everyone does it - sharpen that keyboard and let 'er rip.
I agree. I've thought Miles would be a good fit from the moment Herman split town. If you want a coach that could be successful, and that you won't have to replace in 24 months or less, then I think Miles would be perfect. He's 63, not 83. He's got plenty left in the tank. The man knows how to recruit, no one can deny that.
