UH should have been 11 ish....with a win over OU taking them up several spots.. 7 or so...depending on what's going on above them. As it stands, a win over OU, likely takes us to 10....win out and watch them drop seems to be the deal. Soon to have that much tougher schedule we all want.
http://www.foxsports.com/college-football/story/tom-hermans-uh-cougars-looking-more-like-a-power-five-program-082116 Love all the coverage we are getting. Never been this amped for college football! Prospect K'Laivon Chaisson will be at the OU game. His number 1 team right now is OU, UH is his number 2.

Interesting. John Moores and his wife gave 51 million to UH back in the early 90's (not all of this went to the athletic department however).
Guess more appropriate for the UH basketball thread but Tilman donating $20M for the basketball arena, including naming rights.
That is what I thought; this was known some time ago. He also is expected to play a large part in giving more money to the football program in 2018.

Nice. Someone put in some effort there which is nice to see for a non playoff game. I thought it a little weird that the big highlights consisted of opponents failures, the missed 2 point conversion on OK, and the missed FG on Hou, but I like what they were doing here.
Yeah, they built that arts performance center. John O' Quinn donated a bunch for the Robertson renovation, C.T. Bauer paid for that investment center at Melcher just before he died and they renamed CBA after him. The money's probably always been there but they maybe needed to see some real growth and continuity after watching Helton tread water and then Dimel just crater.
The Moore's gift built the Athletics building, Cougar Field and The Moore's School of Music. I think this donation is the largest ever just for athletics.
Was reading something a few weeks ago about John O'Quinn, and that when he died in 2009 he owned around 1,200 classic cars. This was among the largest in the world, but on the night he crashed into a tree going 60 MPH on Allen Pkwy he was driving a Chevy Suburban.
20 million to the athletic department for naming rights for the new basketball arena. I thought we knew this already.
