Bit off topic from football, but with UH trying to localize their students (I think?), are bars starting to come up near the area then? I would think it'll be a hot spot of revenue if most of the students become centralized there.
There is one bar on campus I know of. The Den over by the rec center. There's been a ton of revitalization on Scott street over the years, but nothing in terms of bars that I know of.
There's what, 50k students? One would think they would try to take advantage of the moving trend towards localization. Guess it would take 10 years, yea?
The Den opened several years ago. The newest addition is Calhoun's Rooftop. I heard it gets pretty crazy, especially on game days. I wish it was open when I was still a student. A lot has changed in 5 years.
That's what's needed. More stuff around campus to cater to students. It's tough though due to the location, unless the school can start jacking land.

When it's posted, you have to listen to CTH on Jim Rome today. Where are people getting their tickets for the UH vs. OU game? I heard of a package of 4 tickets for $100 but couldn't find it anywhere. EDIT: I believe the package is the Papa John's package and it's sold out
At this point, I think you're limited in options. I know there's around 3k second-hand tickets available on stubhub.

UH could beat OU and they'd move up two spots or something. Thought they'd be ranked in the top 10 after thoroughly trouncing #4 in a BOWL game last year but guess they'll have to do it again.

We were #14 under the AP poll going into that game. The CFP committee consistently underrated us all season. I feel like we should be higher under this poll, but I'll still take 15. High enough for us to work into top10 by the time the CFP polls start coming.
