He just signed a contract...for less than the authority TF had... When pushed Herman agreed to more money for his assistants and asked that money be donated to the school.

That doesn't sound like someone looking for every penny he can get. You never know with college football head coaches, he could demand his salary tripled tomorrow, but is so, he has taken a funny route to demand it.

No guarantees with the Big XII, their position can change a year from now. I agree that there is no guarantee Houston would get in. There are programs that don't want them in. However there are other conferences that are more likely and where the geography and market will help them greatly. The PAC has considered expansion into the South and difficult (but not impossible) logistics aside, it would be a good fit for UH and the PAC. I live in Big X country and there is a movement to expand geographically; again into the hot bed of the South.

The most likely expansion match is the ACC. The conference wants to beef up their football conference positioning. UH allows them to spread into Texas and Louisiana. The conference has been interested before.

Basically everyone is wanting Herman to be more like Sumlin and he's just not.

I hope they hire Kendall as well, because it's going to be funny watching him leave once given the opportunity. Isn't this the same school that fired his dad?

Why don't you focus on what Baylor is going to need to pay off all the MULTIPLE lawsuits that are coming. Certainly going to be more then 6 million.

The Big 12 could but the factors against expansion will likely still be there next year and the year after that. Not saying it will never happen but we know that there there was no unanimous opinions on candidates and that the pro rata share provision in the current Big 12 almost disincentives expansion in its current form.

With the PAC, they're in a dire position with their conference network. While UH would add a huge market, I'm not sure they're in a position to expand right now. Also the Big 10 is set to sign the biggest tv deal in the history of CFB. Each team is about to make a ridiculous amount of money so doubt any of the schools are for pushing for expansion at this point.

The ACC makes much more sense than the PAC and Big X but there are rumblings that you might see a Big 12-like raid sometime in the future. We know Florida State was not happy the last go around so if the SEC, Big X, or Big 12 were to expand, I think we are more likely to see a raid of the ACC before anything else. Mike Perrin, Texas AD, alluded to this a few weeks back.

Whether or not UH eventually gets in is not the issue with regards to Hermam IMO. Its whether it happens before someone comes along and makes an offer he can't refuse. I'm of the opinion that it will not and don't think Herman would stick around on the prospect of getting in.

Tennessee settled 8 cases the week before last for around 2.5 MM.

Baylor has deep pockets. We don't need to students to set up Gofundme pages like certain universities to get things built. LOL.

For a supposedly religious based institution, sure is a lot of lusting after people you can't have going on in Waco.

Again, give me KB. You'll see why soon enough when we're lighting up the scoreboard like clock-work.

Baylor is one of the few schools (esp now with Rhoades on board) that is vouching for UH to be granted entrance into a real conference. OU and UT ain't having it though so save the hate for them. GL with the ACC. I think it's them or bust for UH.

And then it's all sour grapes when they realize they can't tempt them to leave for a worse situation simply by throwing money at them. It's pretty sad.

Just like it was sad to see y'all thinking Baylor would be kicked out and replaced by UH. Some Baylor fans are acting desperate and some UH fans are acting desperate. I'm not desperate because we're going to get a good coach whether people like it or not. We're in a real conference, in Texas and have bad ass facilities. We'll be aight.

I think it was rational to think you guys might be kicked out, after all you've been dead weight for most of Baylor's history and now they are headed back to that. I'm happy for you guys that you didn't get kicked out but I truly hope you enjoyed the little time that Baylor had a relevant football program because it's over now.

I seriously hope our fan base isn't acting obnoxious because of one good season. We're on the radar, but we still haven't accomplished **** until we're P5.

On a side notes, BUY YOUR ****ING SEASON TICKETS IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY. And hit me up if you're tailgating; I'm usually in the architecture parking lot/frat tents. I'll pass you a beer :)

Saying it over and over doesn't make it true but that's you in a nutshell in every thread.

You have lots of rapes though. That situation could be a deterrent for some. But I'm sure you will find a candidate where none of that matters and is all about money. I don't see how that really works at a religious school but that's pretty much par for the course with humans so I understand.
