I think it would be cool to have a play-in game for the highest ranking undefeated G5 school to play the 4th seed to get into CFP.
Going to try to make the game against Vandy this Saturday. Any good restaurants/bars somewhat in the area that we can stop at before the game? Thanks.
Calhoun's Rooftop, right on campus on Calhoun Road They have 32 oz gameday mini pitchers (domestic and margarita) for 5 dollars, I believe, and their food is awesome. Can't go wrong with the Tri Slama Jama burger and Cougar Club Flatbread. If you can't find parking in the parking lot, navigate around to the left side of the building for additional parking
It can get busy during away games, but service isn't slow and it shouldn't be as crowded for a home game. Even during away games there isn't a line. The only time I've seen them is on college night (Thursdays)
Does that mean pieces are beginning to fall into place? Also, awesome article by Duarte: http://www.houstonchronicle.com/spo...597204.php?t=abb3780796&cmpid=twitter-premium
It certainly doesn't hurt, but nothing has changed. The Big 12 is still split down the middle on expansion. Going to take some sort of spark to push the extra 2-3 schools needed to support expansion. Things will heat up in the next 12-18 months.
Thanks for answering all my questions, Donny. Are you gonna be at the game Saturday? I'll buy you a beer!
Stayed at #18 playing Cinncy at 2:30 this Saturday. Let's hope for some teams above us to lose so we can move up - we'll eventually be up after we defeat Memphis though
I'm excited for this Cinci game. They're the first winning team we'll be playing and I feel like we'll finally get to see how UH matches up with other good teams. So far, we've been blowing out bad teams and have looked the part of being a ranked team, but we won't know for sure until we play against teams that can compete.
The only thing I am worried about is the young O-Line. I think Herman said we are playing 2 freshmen, 1 of them is RS...but Vandy defense supposedly one of the best and we were okay.
After seeing the o-line against Vanderbilt, I think they should be fine for the rest of their games this season. I'm more worried about the defense. Cinci's offense is probably the best one we've gone up against so far this season and their QB is playing well right now. Our defense has played really well, but I want to see how they respond to this challenge. Good thing this game is at home.
Cincy has a really good offense, great passing and good rushing. Defense is going to be tested. This will be a good tune up before the rest of the schedule. 41-38 Coogs!
We got a huge commit for the 2017 class. 4* CB Terry Petry http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Terry-Petry-172083 21st ranked CB on rivals. 190th overall player. Herman doing work!
That's huge. But I'd imagine a lot of these kids will decommit if Herman leaves, which seems more and more likely.
he wont after this season. next year is the year i see him possibly leaving. i just cant see him leaving after 1 year.
