True. Football is all about who is the better team on a given day. But I think Boise St. would have a sizable advantage with their superior defense going into the game.
Well according to the chart someone displayed, Boise would win by the score of ....calculating............ Boise 48 UH 36
WEST DIVISION x-Boise State x-SMU x-Houston x-Air Force Louisville Cincinnati EAST DIVISION Connecticut Rutgers South Florida x-Central Florida x-Navy y-Temple
hehe. I was just trying to pull it off the top of my head. Couldn't remember which one was geographically further east. From reading some stuff off of a Boise St. board, it seems as though they feel that BYU wouldn't bite with the BE. More interesting things to come...and yesterday's news might be the beginning of the end of the WAC. I think the MWC will absorb most of the teams from the WAC. Unless the MWC/CUSA merger will now include the WAC.
I don't think BYU would go, either. Even if we conceded to all their kooky demands. Never underestimate Commissioner Meatball, though. Either way, BCS cash and matchups with Boise State every year are reason enough to be pumped.
Basketball is where it's at for UH, they are capable of becoming a basketball power in a BCS conference. The football program will get a big boost too, theres a lot of talent in Houston, but they will just become a good football program. I honestly think they will have National Title ability in basketball if they get the right coach.
Tulsa @ UCF tonight. Big game for the west title. Need the Knights to win. http://www.firstrowsports.tv/watch/89829/1/watch-central-florida-vs-tulsa.html
If UH makes it to a BCS game, who do you hope they play? I would rather it not be OK st. Doesn't really seem that fun. Playing the 2nd best Big 10 team or SEC team would be pretty cool. Would it be more appealing to beat the best big 12 team as a way of showing the school is good enough to be in the conference? Just curious.
Most likely is the Fiesta Bowl vs. one of the Oklahoma schools. (which would be fine with me) Most wanted...? Sugar Bowl vs. Anybody but LSU or Alabama. Another possibility is the Orange Bowl (provided the Big East champion doesn't rank high enough, I think) vs. Clemson/VT/GT.
If Tulsa goes undefeated till us, do yall think they are ranked after being 8-3? The three losses come to top10 teams and otherwise they've had convincing wins against all the other teams.
